Doing a quick laptop cleanup and stumbled across some beautiful golden hour photos of my favourite boy that I'd forgotten I'd taken πβοΈ
Hope you're all staying safe in this horrid weather! There's been so many cancelled/postponed competitions and such because of the warnings, here's hoping we get back up and running properly soon. Bring on the summer βοΈ
I'm really enjoying black and white backgrounds at the moment. I need to get brave and try some proper black background shots once I've figured out where the best spot on the yard to take them would be π
Move over Rudolph, Benny's the best reindeer π Hopefully you're all a little more ready for the big day than I am, it'll be last minute shopping and panic buying for me again this year!
Instagram vs. Reality the equine edition π How can such beautiful animals look so silly sometimes? π
*Jaws theme plays* π¦ I love capturing moments like this, horses just being horses makes me happy.
I'm still chugging along with editing everything from the weekend but I just had to post this shot of one of the beautiful stallions I had the pleasure of photographing on Sunday. Isn't he gorgeous?
All the owners at the yard are being very patient while I edit their photos, hopefully the finished product is worth the wait π€π»
What a busy weekend! I spent two full days at Burgham International shooting the 3* and 4* action across all three phases and then spent most of today photographing an entire yard's worth of horses, ponies, foals and even some puppies and a lovely yard goat π
Look out for some of that over the next week!
Here's a few more shots of this lovely lad, because I couldn't pick just one to post.
This beautiful face belongs to Teddy, a lovely thoroughbred boy who I photographed yesterday. Isn't he handsome? More of him to come soon!
Had another great day at Duchy last weekend watching some beautiful dressage tests. Including a winning one by this lovely pair with JJ proving that ex racers most definitely can π€
Hello again! Life's been so hectic and full on that I've had hardly any time to do any photography or even make a post. Here's a sassy pony to make up for it!
Oops, I haven't posted for a while again π What better way to start again then with my very own super Dartmoor hill pony foal, Benny! π€
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all! I sincerely hope that every one of you enjoys yourself and if Christmas is a difficult time for you, that you have a peaceful one.
See you in the new year! May it be full of things that make you happy, for me that's the ponies so here's some of my favourite moments with them from this year.
I always love the different reactions to jumping the last fence on a tough xc course. Some are relieved, some are ecstatic, some pleased it's over and some just as focused as they were at the first. These two were on their A game and tackled the last just as nimbly as all the others, all game faces until they were over the line.
Really missing the summer and all the tiny bouncy foals. They're all mega fluffy now!
This little lad π₯Ίπ€
Here's the beautiful Bonnie to make your Monday that little bit better.
Handsome chap π€
Happy Halloween everyone! ππ»π¦
These two were very interested in something just over the stream. There's always something going on on the moors for nosey ponies to watch!
Here's another shot of π€ This time a bit more seasonal ππ
If you saw my stories yesterday then you saw how chaotic this shoot was π Luckily Loki obliged and sat still on occasion, letting me get lovely shots like this π Aren't Sphynxes just the cutest?!
So... this isn't a horse but he is my next photography subject! It would seem I'm branching out into pet photography π Can't wait to get some "proper" photos of this lovely chap.
I just adore this shot from a while back π€ They're such a beautiful pair.
I couldn't resist posting a couple more photos of this beautiful mare, Karlijn (aka Kiwi) owned and ridden by . So here's one more from the other two disciplines π
Showjumping bitless? Yeah, no trouble. It was lovely to see such a happy, forward and free moving horse in the ring yesterday at Frenchfield! Beautifully ridden round
Interrupting the never ending Burgham posts to celebrate these two goobers, I love them and their funny relationship an awful lot.
As promised here are this pair's dressage shots. If you know who they are, please, feel free to tag or mention them (I couldn't get a program so can't do it myself) π€ This was a really beautifully ridden test and the horse was just stunning, win win for me!
