Am I the only one that always underestimates how much I'll be walking on a trip?

I once made the rookie mistake of wearing my cute new sandals on the rustic yet uneven cobblestone streets of Paris. Three blisters and a few tears later, I decided to invest in a durable pair of leather-wear-them-everyday sandals.

Going to a reindeer farm is something that should be on everyone's bucket list. It's amazing to learn about local Norwegian Sami culture while hanging out with hundreds of reindeer.

Catch the best on the Avenue des Champs-Elysées, and on and around Place Vendôme. Luxury department store Galeries Lafayette outdoes itself year after year with its giant glowing Christmas tree. You can stroll down the historic streets, pop into Christmas markets, and take in the popular sights — all without the big summer crowds.
