The Assistant Director will focus on overseeing the grants portion of the $1B+ Broadband Equity Access and Deployment (BEAD) and Digital Equity Act resources coming to Illinois, as well as implementation of the Digital Equity Plan, pursuit of connectivity policy goals, and collaboration with the Illinois Broadband Lab. Looking for a creative problem solver and team player with a track record of getting things done in a bureaucratic environment.

Illinois has officially launched its broadband mapping challenge process! This is a historic opportunity for local governments, non-profits, internet service providers, and residents to weigh in on the accuracy of the broadband availability map.

Why participate?
Your feedback will directly inform how $1B+ in Broadband Equity Access and Deployment (BEAD) funds will be allocated across Illinois. Our goal is to connect every unserved and underserved household and business in Illinois, but we need your help!
