Heart of Oak
Busy in my shed making things I love from Vintage Sawn Wood and Reclaimed Wood.
In my happy place today. Lots happening. I'll let you know later but for now, here a some sun catchers I've made in Suffolk Oak.
Lovely to see my mangle base and vintage sawn ( by us) Suffolk Oak topped table getting put to good use.
With all the good weather, more and more of our visitors are enjoying refreshments and ice creams in our garden. Thanks to this creative reuse of an old mangle by Heart of Oak and few of our school benches, we now have some additional seating for you to use while visiting the museum.
ORDER, ORDER !
I'm no wood turner but managed to make this special order with my Middle of Lidl lathe. Nice little piece of Ash from my garden.
Bought a previously cut down mangle base and added an Oak top. Finished with a Medium Oak Danish Oil. Beautiful outdoor table.
Reclaimed Oak Coffee table.
Good quality clear coat 30cm hairpin legs with protector feet. Made from reclaimed oak kitchen worktop. £82
I will be here tomorrow with my woody stuff. Sounds like it will be a good afternoon evening event and FREE.
Really looking forward to going back here with my stall on Saturday. Why not pop along?
Busy weekend ahead. I'll be in Wenhaston on Saturday morning and Wissett on Sunday afternoon.
The weather might be a bit grim but we're still busy here at Henham Park
Busy weekend ahead. Wenhaston Village Hall tomorrow morning and Henham Park Sunday and Monday.
My work days are changing so I won't be at Halesworth Market anymore. I will miss all of my customers, friends and fellow stall holders. I will still be out and about with my woody stuff and I am booked in at the following events.
Sat 30th March. Wenhaston craft and produce market
Sunday 31st march and 1st April British Country Show at Henham Park along with our Steam vehicles and vintage firewood and kindling demo.
7th April Long Shop Museum, Leiston with Steam Car
Sat 27th April wenhaston Market
Sun 28th April Wissett Open Garden in aid of St Elizabeth Hospice.
The list goes on and on into November.
All dates are subject to me getting it wrong or something unavoidable cropping up.
Thank you one and all for your support thus far x.
All set up at Wickham market. Lots here. Lovely atmosphere.
Bought two sets of these previously used tiles. Several ideas as to what to make with them. Trying not to be side tracked this morning though, as it's a robins and dog making day today # # #
These two little gonks have found themselves a lovely new home xx
Sorry if you missed us. We left early. The wind was attempting to destroy the gazebo. Both grandchildren were used as leg weights lol
I've got some help on the market today. Theo's selling his paint stirring sticks too.
Today Grandson Theo (10) has been using my reclaimed Oak offcuts to make paint stirrers. He's also making a display box for them from reclaimed plywood. They will be on my market stall tomorrow.

Recycling wood is becoming a family obsession. Nice work from my son and daughter in law.

I'll be here with my stand and the family. We'll be there with our family collection of Stanley Steam Car, Fowler Ploughing engine, 4 inch scale Marshall traction engine and will be doing a wood cutting demo.
Photos of the reclaimed oak coffee table I made a couple of weeks ago in its new home.
These little guys are keeping me busy and company today. Cheeky little chaps. Ideal for sitting on a shelf. Made from pine wood recovered from a kitchen refurb.
