I've been participating in the summer residency program of SVA with wonderful illustrators and I am proud to announce that I'm going to show my works at the Open Studio on July 6, 2017 at 133 west 21st street, 4th floor from 6pm to 8pm! Feel free to come and enjoy our works!

I haven't posted anything since I arrived New York, but I am having so much fun with wonderful illustrators in SVA Summer Residency Program!
There are tons of assignments and projects that are need to get done, but it is such a great environment to focus on illustrations and experimenting the way to express my thoughts and ideas. Also, getting critiques from other illustrators and professionals of the illustration industry are really helpful!
I can't believe the first session is almost over. Time flies!

I brought in my artworks to Daikaiten, Asagaya, Japan!
My artworks are done in acrylic paints, and selling this original piece.

I'm exhibiting two pieces: "Rokurokubi chan -Dating-" and "Hyakume chan -Doing Make Up-."

Last year, I received offer for wedding welcome sign from my friend, and created this piece. I really enjoyed drawing traditional Japanese wedding kimono!
I hope for my friend's happiness from my heart!

昨年末の話ですが、大学時代の友人こらウェルカムボードのご依頼を頂きました。いつも私を助けてくれていた友人のため、そして彼女の旦那様のため、心を込めて制作させて頂きました。幸せなお二人の門出をこういった形でお祝いできて嬉しい♡結婚式に少しでも華を添えられていたら良いな。
ちなみに、ご要望により背景に牛さんを入れて、新婦の着物の柄は桃と葡萄になってます😊

Yesterday was Coming-of-Age Day in Japan! Traditionally, 20-years-olds having their coming-of-age ceremony wear kimono (especially girls), so I drew this to celebrate new adults!

Sisters from "Kubo and the Two Strings." Character design of the Sisters attracted me soooo much.
I saw the trailer of the movie, and saw great respect for the Japanese culture, art, and myth. Also, I thought it is really interesting that because the movie mixed Asian elements and reflected them to the characters and designs, the perspective of the movie seems not just Japanese but more exotic and fantasic, which is fascinating. I can't wait to see this totally new Japanese Fantasy Movie. I wonder when this movie gonna be opened in Japan...

Inspired by the photo from NUMERO Tokyo September issue. I love GUCCI 's 2016AW collection. This photo was breathtaking that I really love the style created by Ako Tanaka, and the model, Risa Nakamura.

Inspired by decorative GUCCI fashion. Due to the tacky fashion trend in Japan, I tried to create tacky but elegant and decorative japanese-style.

Inspired by the photo from NUMERO Tokyo September issue. I love GUCCI 's 2016AW collection, and I think the model, Risa Nakamura's aura greatly matches the collection.

8月2日はパンツの日！パンティーの日！

I participated in COMIC ART TOKYO which was held at 3331 Arts Chiyoda in July 31.

I really enjoyed the show, and I spent great time exchanging opinion with visitors and chatting with neighboring tablers! I wanna say thank you to all of you who came to my table and all of you who kindly talked to me :-)

I can't wait for the next CAT!
