As most of you who know me know I try to do various types of photography.

I have been trying a new approach on floral photography but have realised that it isn't as easy as just taking a shot, the lighting needs to be right, the subject needs to be interesting, but most of all the background also needs to be interesting but subtle.

Let me know if you think I got this one right.

Robin Hoods Bay....

Just a few of the pictures I took at Robin Hoods Bay yesterday on our short visit.

Took a couple of shots with my phone whilst having a walk around Bridlington hope you like the composition... I love black and white photos..

I know most people don't want to see my legs but this is the consequence for going to take photos in shorts as the sun goes down near fields.. counted over 50 bites so far... lesson learned wear trousers not shorts. 🤣

A 360° Photo from 100m above the poppy field which is on the road between Paull and Thorngumbald just before sunset..

Daisy...

I think these are Oxeye daisy, (Leucanthemum vulgare) or the common daisy

I seem to be doing a few panoramic images at the moment.. not sure why I just seem to like them.. The below image was 3 images stitched together to make a panoramic picture of the top falls at Aysgarth Falls.

A few of the pictures taken at Aysgarth Falls when I was there the other week... Such a beautiful place with numerous water falls.

Last Set of pictures from Scarborough... always get some lovely pictures when I visit.

My most favourite way of getting from the beach to the town in Scarborough and back again.. the Central Tramway Co making the incline easy... It was established in 1881, carries around 450'000 passengers a year up the hill which is a gradient of 1 in 2.4 with a total track length of 247.6 feet.

I must have walked around the sweeping bend on Marine Drive that takes you from south bay to north bay at Scarborough numerous times and love as you get around the corner and look up you can see all the B&Bs and smaller hotels across the top of the hill taking your eye all the way around.

180° Panoramic Picture of South Bay Beach at Scarborough...

When I stayed at South cliff Holiday Park a few months ago when it snowed I put a 360° of one side of the park in the snow. I was asked then if I could get one of the other side of the park.

Today I kept trying as it was still a bit blowy and there was a plane that kept circling at a low altitude so I had to keep my altitude quite low for safety reasons... So here is a quick 360° from 50m up and hopefully pretty much the centre so hopefully covers both sides...

I plucked a rose, a red rose rare,

This is my first attempt of creating a black background highlighting the subject using flash photography... still a bit of work to do but every day is a school day and hopefully will get better with practice.. not a bad effort though...

A couple of the boats Gingernuts & Minerva were coming in just as I was leaving the front of Withernsea yesterday managed to grab a few snaps on my way out...
