I am so happy to announce that I play Hikaru Hizashi in the new Beyblade Burst Surge! This is my very first lead role in an anime and this experience has been incredible. Special thanks to Mami Okada, Tony Oliver and the team at Bang Zoom Studios for taking me on this awesome journey!

This one is one I didn’t think would hurt so much.
When I was a kid, any time I was at my dad’s house, at 7pm I would always watch Jeopardy with my grandpa and my uncle and we would always try to guess the answers and rate the categories based on how interested we were in the topic.

I remember I wanted to be on Kid’s Jeopardy sooo badly, and I told it to anyone who would listen. Unfortunately, one of my other uncles was working on Hollywood Squares at the time, which was under the same production umbrella as Jeopardy (pretty sure there’s more to it but that’s the cliff notes version) so when my uncle was trying to explain to 6-year old me why I wouldn’t be allowed on the show and how it would be considered cheating, I got so mad haha. (I just saw it as an adult telling me I couldn’t do something🤣) I was so angry at the time, but now it’s just a silly story I laugh at.

I’ve never met Alex in person, but my uncle had met him several times at work and never had a bad thing to say about him. It was always how kind and funny he was. I did pass by him when my uncle and I went to see Wicked for a work party, and I remember him being focused on his son the whole time, which I thought was really sweet.

RIP Alex Trebek. Thank you for the stories you’ve given me and for my love of random trivia. ❤️
