I was notified by the folks at Facebook, I have not 'added' any new content on this site; which is true..............I started this site to be a BB site and my own, to be more social; etc. That plan got scrapped as I found myself more and more just discussing BB on my own site and let this one go; more or less? That all said............here is a photo, a cherished photo at that.............or Jerry West and PapaPete doing a Magazine Ad for Jantzen back in 1973-ish? And NO, PapaPete is or was not that small; he was sitting on the arm of the chair here. LOL

Just want to add something here; because for some odd reason, this site has picked up a bunch of new "Likes/Fans" and I have NOT added anything on here in a while; a long while; actually. Anyway........when I started thiis site; it was to be devoted to just BB and my own site, for friends and family about trivial stuff? Or so I thought? It morphed, my other site, ME......to be all encompassing; I guess? That said.......I clearly welcome any and all comments and opinions on BB and maybe bring this site to resusatation? IDK? But when I started it; way back when? I had fun with this site. It kept national politics OUT of the equation for sure and THAT alone, makes me want to get this site going again. So I don't have to read the BS; racially charged crap!! How's that for a reason?

I have another West Coast bullsh*t bias to share.....Though I don't often write about; nor really care to write about HS Awards and such, related to BB especially.......I am blown away (again) by the complete "snubbing" of those who choose these All American Teams!! A total of FOUR (4) HS players, who would be considered "West Coast" HS players were selected for the West Squad ( California player and 3 Nevada players out of 12 selected. Last time I checked; New Jersey; South Carolina; North Carolina are based out of the East Coast (time zone not withstanding) and one could argue Mississippi would NOT be considered "in the West"!?!?! Yet those States are represented; along with Michigan; Indiana; Illinois and Ohio!! You mean to honestly tell me, 4 players and ONLY 1 kid/player outta California....were "good enough" to represent the WEST TEAM???? Conversely....The East Squad? New York; New Jersey (what, I thought they were considered in the West??) Florida; West Virginia; Texas(??); Tennessee; Georgia; etc. are representing the East Team. I'm telling you, the National Media, again, does the West Coast dirty when it comes time to "VOTE" Last add....I might be wrong and if I am? Not by much...but last time I checked; California has MORE NBA players in the League and Southern Cal is where most have come out of. Good thing these "voters" are not College Coaches or NBA GM's.....LOL

See, I LOVE venues like this one!!! Must of been my Mom's influence? A total Bohemian; Artsy; Avant Garde type environment (locale) where "Guru" will get its 2nd Screening this next Tuesday (July 1st.) in the City I love and proudly call my "Home Town".......Oakland, California!!!!!! I was born and raised there; as my brothers were and it's ONLY fitting Oakland should be the spot for this screening; right?

Pete Newell's significant contributions to the development of basketball in Japan during the early 1960s made him an international icon in that country. At this time of crisis, we must all show love and support to our brothers and sisters in Japan as they slowly work to rebuild their great country.

Letting my Left Coast Sports friends what's up with "Guru" in the event you haven't been following or in the know? Gotta keep this whole project 'out there' as we wind down to "Judgement Day" getting "Guru" televised. This would be an outtake from our interviewing Kareem and his views on the lack of teaching the game properly these days. Pretty insightful stuff from the one they called "The Cap" Thanks Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for your time and willingness to support our efforts to get Pete Newell's story told!!! Just had to give a special 'shout out' to the Pasadena HS Bulldogs on one of the most incredible defensive displays I have EVER seen and at any level of BB? I know this may come off as crass; or ridiculous......but if anyone was at this game; they'd tell you the same damm thing!!! "Incredible!!" Pasadena HS~83 vs. Arcadia HS~36 and I got news here, Arcadia is/was not a bad BB team; but they ran into a total buzzsaw tonight.........A great TEAM win!!!! Still shaking my head over this......amazing!!
A warm and hearty 'shout out' to legendary, SoCal High School BB Coach, Sam Sullivan!! The longtime, highly successful coach at Frremont HS in Los Angeles earned his 600th career win, recently and that honor will be held February 10th at a dedication ceremony at FHS!!! Sam is one of the finest; most humble and dedicated HS Basketball Coaches of all time. Plus, he's one of the most respected in the Game, that I know of. Congratulations, Sam!!! You are a credit to the Game!!!
The Ranked Pasadena Bulldogs improved their League Record to 3-0; as they defeated the pesky Glendale Nitros, at their house, last night: 65-53. What made the victory more impressive was the fact, leading scorer and 'big man': Brandon Jolley missed most of the game, due to dizzy spells at the start of the game and defensive specialist: Perris Hicks was ailing (flu-like symptoms) the entire game. All-in-all......you win on the road, no matter how or why; you take it and don't look back!?!?! Next up: Arcadia HS on Wednesday. Keep it up, Bulldogs........one game; one win at a time!!!
One of the BEST pure shooters in College Basketball, bar none!!! Allen Crabbe, Jr. from Cal; put another dazzling outside shooting barrage, last night as he poured in 28 points, mostly from DEEEEEEEEEP range and how he gets his shots off; with the smoothest moves around, kept me on the edge of my seat the entire second half (when he went OFF) against Oregon, at Oregon and shut their fans up; in the process. As those of you who know, Oregon BB fans are maybe the nastiest in the Pac12; if not ranked in the Top 5 in the country? LOL Check out Cal the next time they're on TV?

Last day for (our) Fall High School BB League, out in Corona at 'The Player's Edge' BB facility!!! I like my NFL Football Sunday's; but if Basketball calls? I'm ALL in!! After today, it's a wrap until the incredible "Rose City Roundball Classic" heats up November 28th; at Pasadena HS.
Forget the NBA~~~High School BB is about to Heat Up; BIG TIME!!
