Big collaboration podcast coming out in a few weeks with FSTS, Douglas County Sheriff Darren Weekly, Denver Assistant District Attorney Lara Mullin, and hosted by author Bernie Mullin of ‘Reimagining America’s Dream’. We spent almost two hours discussing US Criminal Justice Reform and how even as we may all sit different politically, we all can come together and agree on safety, freedom, and accountability in a thoughtful and informed way. Stay tuned for the release in the coming weeks.
FSTS is proud to be surrounded and work alongside thoughtful and engaged individuals in this community who share a vision to indeed respond and argue for victims to be seen and heard.

Saturday School time‼️🧐
The more we share true and factual information, the more we combat this crime.
❓How can you help ❓
✅ Educate yourself on true facts.
✅ Stop sharing click bait/sensationalized stories.
✅ Stop politicizing this topic.
✅ Speak up when others spread misinformation.
Trafficking happens everywhere; immunity to certain areas isn’t real. We must continue to remove the stigma and dispel the myths in order for those in these situations to recognize and feel comfortable coming forward.
Can you believe we are only 9 weeks away from end of year giving?!?!?! 👀
We hope as you decide on your end of year giving you will keep FSTS in mind. No donation is too small to help combat Human Trafficking and to ensure those who are victimized are served. At FSTS every penny goes towards advocacy and support.
Please follow the QR link below or head to our webpage at FSTS.org to learn more about what we do. All donations are tax deductible! We can only continue this fight with your help. Donate today! Please SHARE‼️

We are blown away every year by your generosity and love.

At FSTS we are proud to announce that last night at the Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance Presidential dinner our founder and Executive Director, Jenelle Goodrich was presented with the ‘Deana Griswould Award’ for outstanding Victim Advocate, Nonprofit Sector. This award was a nomination by multiple individuals for someone who has made a significant impact in the lives of victims of crime. Anne Darr from the FBI and the President of COVA honored FSTS and Jenelle with this award for the years of dedication in the field. We are beyond proud of the work we do at FSTS and we still have so much more to do. Thank you to every partner, donor, FSTS member, and volunteer locally, nationally, and worldwide that allows this to be, this award goes to you.

Today we honor all Indigenous people. Their culture, and their resilience. At FSTS we are aware and stand in solidarity to those in Native Communities who are affected as a marginalized group to a multitude of crimes, including Human Trafficking.
J Claire is in full swing on this beautiful Fall day! Head over for a great cause and great finds! Thank you J Claire for your amazing support!
Today is World Mental Health Day. In our world at FSTS and all around the world we know that a common vulnerability is mental health not being addressed from past traumas that result in them being a target of victimization such as Human Trafficking. Today we ask for you to focus on improving your own mental health, ending the stigma surrounding it, and supporting others through World Mental Health Day events and fundraisers. We also ask that you share this and spread the word to others. We must stop the stigma of mental health in order for people to not have shame in reaching out early on, it could truly change the world in a dramatic way on a global level. Stay well FSTS friends.
Colorado ranked in the top 10 in the nation according to this study/article. FSTS will continue to advocate and fight this injustice. We have some of the best agencies here in Colorado from governmental to private in our opinion; policies at a legislative level is where this begins to move the needle. We will continue to speak out.
Colorado had 10th-highest rate of human trafficking in nation last year: Study The U.S. saw a record number of reported human trafficking incidents in 2023, according to a new study by the Colorado-based Common Sense Institute.

Never be ashamed of a scar. It simply means you were stronger than whatever tried to hurt you.
September is National Su***de awareness month. Human trafficking survivors report high rates of suicidal ideation and behavior. Su***de is a daunting reality of trafficked persons, and even higher in those who identify as LGBTQ+. At FSTS we serve, and show up for all. Humans matter and we will continue to do our part to show them. If you or someone you know is struggling with su***de please know that the Colorado Crisis Services has a 24/7 line for help. They can call 1-844-493-8255, or text “TALK” to 38255.

This past week FSTS attended and presented twice at IAHTI International Association of Human Trafficking Investigators, around one thousand people attended this conference from all over the world. Working alongside these individuals as a multidisciplinary team from start to finish, engaging in best practices, and supporting one another while we support those who are victimized is a necessity we wish wasn’t needed; but if you have to do it we highly suggest doing so with a team like this. This past week we all spoke in a total of three sessions, from a plenary session to breakouts, and the feedback was outstanding. The contacts and relationships made worldwide are forever engrained and we know will be used in the near future. The sessions we attended outside of speaking were heartfelt, gut wrenching and highly informative. Thank you IAHTI for year after year putting on an outstanding conference, and thank you for inviting us to be part of the experience. For FSTS, our favorite quote of the entire week was, “do what is right, not what is easy”, FSTS strives to do that daily and will be returning to work ready to hit the ground running after a very informative week!
🚨NEW WEBSITE 🚨
Hello FSTS Partners & Friends!
We wanted to let you know that the new FSTS website is up and running! We will be adding more to it in the coming months, but we are a go! Our old webpage will direct to the new site. I hope you will update your records, and share the new webpage with others. Please be sure to sign up for our email list as well, this is where we will send out minimal newsletters (we promise not to spam you!), as well as our efforts at Christmas in order for you to be part of support for those we serve, hear about fundraising events, and openings on our team. The site is still slowly working out a few kinks over the next week or so, and we ask for your patience on this as all new sites have growing pains. At FSTS, we are excited for this new fresh look and the growth FSTS has had over the years. As always, thank you for your support, partnership, and trust. Onward we press!
When we get messages like this from those we have assisted and advocated for, it only reinforces our mission. This young woman has so much fire, dedication, grit, and potential that you cant help but be inspired! Keep going girl! The success is all you! The sky is the limit and you deserve it all! 💪🏼💜
For many of you, you sent your kiddos back to school today, or will be soon. Here are some tips for parents and how to be preventative with your kids and help protect them from online exploitation and Human Trafficking. Many HT scenarios and cases we see begin with someone luring them online with false promises. We want to make note that at FSTS, we make sure those we serve who are reentering the school space are completely set with supplies, clothing, and a healthy reentry plan for themselves, providers, and their trusted caregivers to make sure they are set up for success. We wish everyone a safe, successful, and fun school year!

Investigative Report ~ 6 part series‼️🕵️♀️ {Part 1 of 6}
In May of 2024, FSTS was approached by investigative reporter Erica Stapleton, to help shed insight on what it may look like at times when a charged individual is also a victim. Erica sent a film crew to Colorado for FSTS to be part of this raw and difficult series that whether we are comfortable with it or not, needs to be explored and exposed. Every Friday, for six weeks, a new “part” will release. FSTS will speak in parts 4&6. FSTS will always be about accountability, but we are also about restoration, mercy, and the full scope of a case; especially when Human Trafficking is in the mix for young women. Please share to spread awareness, and stay tuned for the next 5 Friday’s as we release a new part each week.

Street outreach is hit or miss, but we still go in order to make sure these women know they matter, we see them, and we care. Some days we are told to “**** off”, other times we get hugs and even a flower. Today we got both sides of the coin, and that’s ok. To be clear, we expect nothing in return. We share this picture for hope to what sometimes seems like a hopeless situation. “A little hope, even hopeless hope , never hurt anybody.” - Steinbeck.
Every year FSTS makes a point to set out and hit the streets. We want to make sure people feel loved, seen, and heard. We spend time talking to them, letting them know their options for resources and helping build even a sliver of trust back into their lives with those resources. Vulnerable populations are at a higher risk of trafficking and we want to make sure they know there are people who see them and care to assist when they are ready to do so.
