Hi! I hope this message finds you well, my name is Calista, I am a graduate of Downingtown High School West, Class of 2022 and I was a recipient of the Robbie of Ryan Miller Scholarship just two short years ago. Currently, I am an undergraduate student at the University of Kentucky pursuing a degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences with minors in Jewish Studies and Communications.

I just wanted to express my gratitude for being a recipient of this scholarship, every day when I open up my laptop, the one you generously gifted me, I am given the opportunity to think about Robbie and Ryan and the legacy they leave behind. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss, although I did not know them personally it is apparent the love they had for their family and their unwavering commitment to service.

The last time I reached out, I vowed to continue to give back to my community, the way I know the Miller boys would have. Although I am no longer in Downingtown, I have been able to get involved in philanthropic efforts in my new community, all the way in Lexington Kentucky. I have recently helped organize an event, Paint Wars, where all the money raised would support GreenHouse 17, a local shelter to help support survivors of Domestic Violence. I am proud to say I, with the help of my friends helped raise over $15,000!

The thing I am most proud of however is my involvement in the Diversity Healthcare Program at Bryan Station High School. I am on the leadership team for the University of Kentucky’s College of Health Sciences Ambassador Program, where we started the initiative of representing healthcare professions to underrepresented student populations. It has been such a rewarding process to be able to work directly with these students and ignite their passions for pursuing a career in healthcare!

Robbie and Ryan were remarkable humans, I wish I had the honor of meeting them, but please know the legacy they leave behind is not forgotten. Not a day goes by where I am not thankful for your family’s generosity, or thinking of ways I can help uphold the legacy Robbie and Ryan left behind. Thank you for allowing me to be apart of Robbie and Ryans story.

My dearest Ryan, There is not much to say, it seems to me like time has slowed down or is passing me by, The world is not a place you would recognize. nothing seems important; everything is far from the norm.
Your Dad is doing ok , still doing fire police. Him and Cort will be over in a few days to Put out flowers and visit. He will soon retire, and life will start again for us I suppose There are places I want to see and
what better time to do them then now! so many things we take for granted, Now looking back I wish I would have done some things differently. but I have a few years to rectify that.(sighs) We often wonder
what you guys are doing.. Do you see our thoughts or feel our loneliness? Dee is doing ok; she is Tie dyeing shirts and babysitting. Keeping busy, Cheese is on a kind of hiatus, it's his story to tell. but doing ok.
Bailey is ok, had the nerve to have kidney stones. and had them removed acted like a baby for the longest. Ryan! Can you believe Dylan has graduated from high school and is attending West Point. Hunter has
also graduated from college. The ride will be on Aug 20th. I'll let you guys know all about in your Birthday letter. Donte is buying up all the real-estate and doing so well. it was cute, he took your Dad to Bj's ha-ha
shopping because it's so hard to get fresh food anymore. there was a great selection of fruit and meat. the things I needed. Dee and Bret stop often when it's possible. They have so much on their plate Bret brings our fav subs . Ed got
married.(hammer). The Sunday group stays in touch via group chat , and everyone is doing great. Sauce had a baby Boy his name is Izzy. He is beautiful! Nicholas is growing like a w**d. and Punk you should see him
very athletic. plays a couple sports ..Lex stopped by the other day she checks in often ready to help us anyway she can. She hollers up at the windows MOM!!! ha-ha-ha it's really funny. Caretaker has a Son now he is
adorable and Harley is the best big sister. Emmarose and Jax are doing great .Jax lives in Maine and Emma is still attending college. Both are doing well; Emma stops to see you when she comes home. they think of you
often. Brenda and Christa are both doing well, Christa is in the Police academy. and Brenda well that I will save for the Birthday letter. Vance and Ryebie are both doing well. Sara and Casey just celebrated A anniversary the other day .
Krista and the Boys are doing good. Steph and Vinny are doing good, she sent a cute video of Butch and the twins. Dez is doing good. The twins also are growing up so fast, Austin is a teenager now.. where does the time go.
Mud came by and fixed the air conditioner and did a service on the big one. Dave-nod is home. he came over and did the landscaping. It looks amazing ;he has always been good at that kind of work. He is Dating Brenda now.
Sweet Candy has been over a few times, she looks the same as always Ryan & Same sweet voice. Tj has finished college and is doing well, he keeps InTouch, Great Young man! Ryan, Jess had twins. Kelly had a baby. and lives in
Texas. Cort is in Nursing school ,work and studying all the time. She insists on making things for the ride with everything she has going on and she never falters. We have a wonderful young lady to help this year with the ride, Charlene. She is a handful but has the sweetest soul, I am looking forward to working with her. I think Lil D is going to do Tie-dyed shirts and sell at the ride. Jackie from Silvi stays on touch, she always has such nice things to say about you and Robbie. Spoke with Drew the other day and I'm going to get a tattoo on my finger like the one you did!! Queen is doing good she travels and stays busy. Bill Pebbles Birthday is today I'm sure he is thinking about you. Did I tell you Jack presented Robbie's Award & Dylan presented your award that was a first for yours. Thats was a special evening. Without the help of all the wonderful people and our community we would never have been able to keep this up. I have no words for all the kindness that continues to pour in, and the kind memories shared of you both. Well, my baby for now I will close. at night when its still I listen for you and Robbie's voices or a memory to send me to sleep, what I wouldn't give to hear your laugh or Robbie pulling up in big blue just once more. My unforgettable Robbie. I was 53 when you changed my life forever .Not hearing your voice,or smelling your cologne that smile that would change anyone's bad day, especially mine. It's been 10 yrs. since time stopped and allowed most of my heart to follow you home. Tears run as I write this because the pain of not feeling or touch takes over this pain forever. Everyone says how do you do it? do what I asked ? get up daily wishing you were here? you just do! and you close your eyes tight and wish that when you open them this was a bad dream, That's what you do. and you try to remember all the good things and when you start forgetting things you wonder what is wrong with me ! how could I forget that! It's because you're holding on to every memory trying hard to keep you alive in your head. There are so many things that cross your mind. But then you Thank God for all the time he allowed me to have with you. How blessed I am to have loved such an incredible young man more importantly to have you love me. Your Dad is doing ok, not much has changed he speaks of you often and then it gets quiet.. He is still doing Fp .He misses working but has found a new love that he enjoys 3 times a week.. but it's his tale to tell! Cheese and Little Dee are doing ok.. Bailey had 3 kidney stones and had them removed. He played that so well, acting like he was in need of everything extra treats he played the sick card!. Your Dad is looking at getting a Kangal. He is talking to a breeder. It's a very pretty dog. but has to be trained early. Things are trying to get back to normal. Everything is moving fast ;Hunter is graduating from college and Dylan high school and going to West Point! He will be presenting Ryan's scholarship this year and Jack will present yours, Jack is doing well staying busy,I have no idea how he does it. "So Many Hats" Joe retired from the fire house. Robbie. Sauce is having a baby!!! I heard Tom King is doing good, but I haven't heard from him myself. Bill Pebble stops by and chats with your Dad & keeps your memory alive on Fb. Mud started his own business !! Barry Baker passed away. He was always respectful to my family. Give him a hug for me!! There have been many lives lost this year alone on bikes. My prayers are with their family and friends. Dez is doing well, she checks in often.. the twins are growing up so fast. Step and Vinny Twins are getting big. they are growing up so fast .. Making me feel old! Caretaker and Tamonica are expecting a baby boy, He is going to be doing the ride .It's going to be Aug 20, a much bigger one we hope. Dave is home and has been helping your dad with so many tasks needed done. He hasn't changed,, He told this fool if you entertain the clowns you become part of the circus!! That is Funny!!. Kitty was by and had open heart surgery. Saw Queen the other day for her birthday. Deonna and Bret were here and brought hoagies from your Dads favorite place a cut above.. he loves that!.. Brenda, Krista, Christa and the kids are doing well. Sam's Joanne is a card.. we talk often and she stops by your place often to say hello. Last time I spoke to Bill he was going to the track.. he went through a rough patch but is ok now, Much Better!!Anna's Brother passed away a few weeks ago. Give Crystal a hug from her Mom. Jackie from Silvi and I exchange cards at Christmas number one still reaches out. We are still so blessed to have so many people checking in on us, and I wish to thank you all . We would not have made it through the storm and rough seas without your life jackets. Baby I will close for now. Happy Birthday Robbie and Ryan 💞 not Much to talk about, The ride was amazing so many people came out to remember and embrace your memory. John and the Committee did a outstanding job, Cortney ran herself crazy making the baskets and getting donations making sure everything was perfect! Dee and Bret and Donte handled the important things (winks) B drove your truck Ryan, as he always has, with Steve and Butch.. they loaded Robbie's bike and off they go.. Cousin Louie gives a prayer for all the riders before they leave the starting point. Ed and Marlon sold tees and other things. Mark Love and his company graced us with a 200-foot crane in which they placed a huge banner suspended in air of a picture of you guys to welcomed the riders. it was out of this world!! " It took my breath away" Pj's was amazing with everything .. Danielle Fragz, Corts Brother and Little Dee were vendors .. Your dad had fire police from all over at different intersections.. Jack was the Lead car. I'm so thankful for all the extra help we had making sure everyone was safe!! I promise I'm going to keep this letter short , if I had my way, I would name everyone that was at the ride. it's so humbling to see people take time out of their busy day to come out for Our son's!! Wow ,, (wet eyes) I hope they all read this and understand how thankful we are!! Without their support we would not be able to help the people we do!And too the people who privately donated Thank you so very much! It's a sad time for Us.. Your Dad does so good, But it breaks his heart every time he sees the riders come and go.. the throttle salute at the cemetery was breathtaking from what I hear. It was a great day. Everyone came and made it back home safe "thank God". Please Let Ty and David, Velda know they are missed & Loved by so many. Sending Prayers out to the families. Let Crystal know her Mom is alone and to stop by and give her hugs. Queens Mom is turning 95.. she amazing for her age! Gail Blair is turning 75 and is still sharp!! Rye, Brenda is "Come si dice Angelo speciale" trust me when I say this.. Christa is doing well about to start school her and Brenda are going to Law school,, Sauce was able to ride this year, and Spanks stopped by the house to say hello! Sara, Casy, Matt ,Jeezey Eddie, Justin Travis Flex Mud, Jannice , Frankie, are just a few I saw , Scott Boggs was our Dj this Yr. Dylani's a Senior and had a visit at West Point.. Autumn is a soph Hunter is a Junior. Hayden is in 8th grade.. All the Kids are growing up so fast.. You guys are getting old! hahahahhahha. Bailey is funny Robbie you would be so mad at us.. well, your Dad has him spoiled.. really bad. The pandemic is almost over for the most part so next year things should be back to normal or close . your Dad is working on Big Blue getting it ready for the winter, Rye, Nick has been having trouble with his Tummy.. Bill said, Robbie, little Austin is not so little anymore.. Dez is Busy being a super Mom!! Punk is doing well with football, seems to be fast. Cheese and Dee are fine, working getting on with their lives. As long as I type about the ride and the worldly things I don't have to get to the reason for this letter. It's the end of the summer Letter and your Birthday Letter.. Tomorrow we will spend a day with you at your place, and tell you all about everything good and bad, I leave the bad stuff for tomorrow when I fill you in. I hope Heaven has plenty of cake and Ice cream and all your family and friend are there and you sing and laugh just like here and maybe you get a glimpse into our hearts even hear out thoughts. My dearest Ryan.it always feels like I have so much to say when I start these letters. Things are getting back to normal after a long 2 years. Although the shelves in the stores are practically empty half the time, and the food's not as fresh as it used to be, and fruit doesn't last long at all. Nothing tastes the same. Maybe it's my imagination but to me it doesn't.

On a good note! Tj and Christian have both graduated from college! I know Christian has a job at D-town East, not sure about Tj. I know you're so proud of them! Casey and Sara just celebrated their 5 yr. wedding Anniversary. Lex and Jack are doing well. There always a call away, you know Lex.. MOM you need anything?!? lol Punk is growing up so fast and playing sports. He is doing so good! Donte is buying up properties, seems like every week! he brings me things from time to time. He is so funny Ryan. Can you believe he is old enough to drink a Robbie?? "not a Ryan" giggles. The Blair's are doing good.. Hunter is doing great At Wc, Dylan got a D1 offer from the Army.. Autunm and Hayden are beautiful and Smart, and both are accomplished athletes. I don't get to see them these days. I'm thankful for social media it keeps them close and brings a smile to my face. Harley is quite the contemporary dancer. She travels all over competing in competitions and placing high scores! Caretaker is doing the ride. It's been 2yrs since we've had one. I hope everyone comes out. So many people don't ride anymore. Can't blame them. We have lost so many people. Mark doesn't have a bike anymore & he's just one that comes to mind. He has a beautiful daughter "Lily" to raise. He is a great Dad!! Spanks is teaching gun safety and growing his business. Kevin B is doing good. It’s Bill Pepple birthday today and Ryan, he never forgets you and Robbie. He is a constant in our lives. Nicholas is getting so big, the girls are doing well.. pretty as ever! Butch is doing good. Bret and Dee just dropped of banana pudding, they are always doing something sweet. So, Ryan, I wish you could have meant Muffy! She is our neighbor, she has the best laugh ever. Muffy lives a couple houses over and is so thoughtful and kind. She’s just a great person. Cort is doing a much better after having COVID-19. She works all the time, and is getting ready for the ride! She always goes with your Dad and helps him with the place you left us at. Often, she sends me text telling me how much she misses you or that she is thinking of you or us. Dez is always reaching out "just because" even as busy as she stays with the twins. She takes the time out to check on us!Caroline always remembers both you and Robbie.. Your Little Sister "Krista” is the best Mom ever and is always text us and talking about you and Robbie. She makes sure to tell the boys about their uncles. Ali B "big head" is doing well, she has her own Salon. I'm so proud of her for many reasons!! Jax and Emma are doing well. Emma visits you guys when she is home! Your Dad is doing ok. He’s excited about the ride! This time of year is bad for him especially with the accidents involving Motorcycles. I can see him take the deepest breath at times when the call comes in. The sound of the bikes riding by the house, sometimes they will rev the bike up saying hello. Other times it's just a reminder of what we once waited for. You dad has learned how to cook and shop. He is my Sous-chef now!Iit's nice having him home. It’s cute, he's learning all these things to help. He going to retire soon and is looking forward to that day. His business is doing good for a new business! I'm happy for him. He needs to keep busy. Sometimes when it's still and quiet, I'll look over and he is somewhere far away. His eyes tell me a story of things past and missed. I've asked God to let you and Robbie hear his heart! Dee and cheese are doing good.. still single & working hard. Lil D travels and hikes now.. loves to garden. Finally left 4 dogs .. seems to be enjoying being a Nanny. I call her Our " little Gypsy." Bailey is a spoiled baby.. your dad and him are so close. He follows him all day. When you dad is gone, he will lay at the top of the steps waiting for his return. I wonder what he thinks about you and Robbie leaving him. We take him out to the cemetery sometimes and he lays on your resting spots. Maybe he understands. Dione and Mr. Beverage have been traveling often. They seem happy and to me that all that matters. He’s about to propose, I can feel it or I want to feel it!! Haha.. Well, You and Robbie have a birthday coming up soon. It’s not much to say about me. I'm doing one day at a time. Life has just changed for me and a smile seems like a job. It's not like anything is wrong, It’s just how I feel most days. Someday when the pages of my life end, I know you guys will be one of my most beautiful chapters people would have read and will remember. I will love you both past forever.

Hi! Hopefully, this message finds you well!
I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for the generous scholarship you awarded to me in honor of Robbie and to introduce myself. My name is Calista Jarman and during my time at Downingtown West, I maintained a 4.0 unweighted GPA and became a recipient of the AP Capstone Diploma. I was also the captain of my school's soccer team and track and field team and of the executive board of 5 clubs and a part of 4 others.
However, what makes me the proudest is how you deemed me as having similar traits as Robbie. After learning about Robbie's life, his kindness, and the impact he had, I am just truly so proud to be in comparison to him. I am incredibly sorry for your loss, and although I never knew Robbie, seeing all the lives he touched and the legacy he left behind is truly remarkable. He was an amazing person.
Following Graduation, I will be pursuing a bachelor of science degree in molecular biology with a minor in Jewish Studies at the Univeristy of Kentucky. While in Kentucky, I promise to continue to give back to my community, and continue the legacy Robbie left behind.

My dearest Robbie.. I miss you so much these days. The older I get there's so much to share with you mainly about your childhood.. things I remember like your 1st day at Lanchester Christian school. How excited you were to being going to a new school and wearing a uniform.. and when you walked Father Eschbach's dogs.. how saved up enough money to buy Ryan his first dirt bike! So, you could ride up and down the hills at Billy Gs' with Nick. And how you would shovel snow and never would take the money. So many things you did that were so thoughtful and caring .I can still see your eyes light up when we brought Ryan home you said that's my "bober..I can hear it like it was yesterday. How forgiven you were no matter what happened it deserved forgiveness. I hope you know how special you are. I can see your tiny feet going over to Anna's and Rocco's in your little Cowboy boots and hat from that moment Anna fell in love with you. she would say "here comes my Robbie". People ask me how I write these letters. I think is because it's the only time I allow myself to feel these things. For me emotion is the one thing in my life I've learned to control or hide. shrugs. Bailey is so old Robbie but is still the protector of this house and your dad. He follows him around the house all day, he is spoiled rottenCheese is working looking to buy a new car, he has slimmed down looking good too. Dee has moved to Kennett Square Closer to you and Ryan. She left 4 dogs and is a full-time nanny. Your Dad is thinking about retiring in a few yrs. Fire police keeps him busy, along with walking the yard with the push mower instead of using the rider!!! its good exercise he says. Butch is doing well In love these days ,just a phone call away always checking in . its Sunday the 1st.. and Cort and your Dad are down cleaning up the places where you and Ryan started your journeys. the season has changed, and the bikes are out. Your dad has been on a few calls where the bike has gone down.Thank God the riders were not hurt too bad. Your Dad hurts every time that call come in, an in a weak voice, he says Honey say a prayer for the rider and family I nod, "him" not knowing its already done. let's see. Oh, Jack was awarded "Citizen of the year award" it was deserved! Jack still watches over your dad always checking on him making sure Hes ok. Jack will be presenting your memorial scholarship this year. we are having a ride meeting this afternoon@ 2pm on zoom. Your dads ready to have the ride he thinks it's safe now. Caretaker will run point as always. so, he is excited about this. life moves fast, Dez and the twins are doing fine and are just adorable and so beautiful.they are giving her a run for her money. Austin is so growing up and so handsome. Dez sent me a package the other day with everything I needed and a handwritten letter it was a great surprise. Robbie, Kelly is getting married, Brie had a baby, Jess is writing children's books. I brought a couple for Bryson and Brooks. Jess also is a new Mommie. Mark's Lily is getting so big and so cute. Robbie Hes a great daddy! Matt is married also and doing well. Blair's are doing good they are growing up so fast Dill's getting ready for Prom, time sure flies.. Casey Sara Riley & Colton are the cuties family ever. Sissy passed away.. give her a hug for Pop. I talk to himat least once a month we laugh so hard Hes a card! Talked to Tom King a few months ago. Hes doing ok. Donte is really doing well and is working at Vanguard has his own home and is very happy he loves all the finer things in life!! winks. Vinny is doing wonderful he's the Chief at 49 and he also has beautiful twins him and Steph are doing great! The Pandemic has taken its toll on everything, Brenda filled up her truck yesterday it was 135.00 of course I'm sure she was empty lol. it's crazy food prices are outrages. and it's not the best quality!! I've had to return meat because it had expired. life as you knew it is no more!! Christa is going to do a blood drive soonIt's such a great cause and needed. Tj is cutting hair now at Dave's shop. he's doing ok , he lost a close friend and that brought back everything about you. We spoke in length he was really upset, you have so many people who love and miss you!! we shared memories and laughed and cried. Talk to Bill almost every day he is doing good, he sold his business and is about to enjoy life. Life is a truly incredible experience the happy and sad times make us who we are today. As parents we like to think we mold our kids but looking back ,my outlook has changed. I'm so thankful I had the pleasure of being the First person you loved. I read somewhere A mother is a son's first true love, Ason, especially their first son, is a mother's, last true love. Robbie. Nicole just dm ​me on fb she was at the scene of a motorcycle accident trying to help, she is just broken and it's a woman daughter Nicole works out with who lost her daughter Carissa please welcome her home with a big hug from her Mom.💔 Nicole will never married until she gets to heaven with you. Happy Birthday! Robbie and Ryan You guys are so old now(lol) I write this from one of the places in my heart that stays Happy because you loved your Birthdays. Twins 3 yrs. apart!! I can still see your smiles when we sing Happy Birthday. Things are getting better somewhat I should say. It's the day after 911 and I can still see your faces when you get home. Everyone was broken and confused, not sure about what tomorrow might bring. but you both were ready to do whatever it took as volunteer firefighters. (smiles) I hope I told you both how Proud I am and have always been of you both!! It's been hard living all my married life with a house for of Men that always go toward danger to help strangers, giving them hope and a chance to return home to their families. That dam pager goes off and you're gone no matter what time of night or day.. I used to say to your Dad you Better put this fire out!!! ( falls out laughing) TMI. Anyway, Everyone is doing well.Dee Cheese, are working hard and in good health. Bailey with his I'm spoiled ass ! Robbie, your dad has him rotten! Well, everyone does. It stormed here like I have never seen it rain and flooded, so many people have lost so much. I pray for them all and hope the programs in place really help! Guess what Sauce is home and getting on his grind we have spoken on the phone, but I haven't seen him. Besides no company for me until this Covid stuff is over.. Joe Solecki is holding his own with Covid 19.Please whisper in his ear to stay strong and come back to us, he's a great strong guy and needed by many. Robbie. I speak to Bill every day . This keeps me in the moment and keeps me sane.today I gave birth to the most precious gems on this earth. We made you from scratch and fed you and gave you the best we knew how.and you both return the favor by giving us memories to make us proud. remember that you are me and I am you. I was your first Love. I love you were the first words whispered in those tiny ears.. and to this day I still text them to you daily.
