Accident: Delta B712 at Charlotte on Jun 28th 2023, landed with nose gear not extended

Transavia France Boeing 737-800 (F-GZHA, built 2007) operating flight from Djerba damaged both its nose gear tires during landing runway 21 at Nantes-Intl AP (LFRS), France with 160 on board. The lower fuselage showed overstress symptoms.
Terrifying experience for those involved. Thankfully all ended well.

The probability of a single engine failing on a 4 engine aircraft is double that of a 2 engine aircraft. Therefore, the chance of engine failing, blowing up or self-destructing is doubled with 4 engines
Consider that the vast majority of failure of all engines (whether 2, 3, 4 or 6) scenarios have been caused by fuel contamination or fuel starvation โ scenarios in which 100 engines will not help.
Also remember that catastrophic failure of an engine on a wing can easily affect the 2nd engine on the same wing (shrapnel, bird flock).

Cirrus SR22 (PS-VAC)
| A brand new Cirrus SR22 (PS-VAC) force landed in rural terrain near Belo Horizonte, Brazil following deployment of the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS).
Six people were on board (four adults, a 3-year-old and a newborn); no one was hurt.
