Who remembers this? Jonnie was absolutely stunning. It was a sort of alternative Burns night celebration.
I was enthusing to Chris on sound about how good he was right as he snuck in a great sample of Mr Burns from The Simpsons, cracked everyone up and I missed it. Doh! I’ll need to ask him back... X

Had a beautiful time playing in Newport on Saturday night. The kind of show that keeps me playing solo (which can be a lonely, miserable affair at times). Big thanks to the New Portsound team and all who attended x

I was in awe last night. The whole event was perfect. Thank you KINBRAE, SHHE, ZOE VENDITOZZI for performing so brilliantly. Thank you Jamie for the great poster, Assai records for supporting ticket selling. And thank you, new Portsound audience. You are so appreciative and kind to me, to the guests and newcomers.
All my love, Dominic. X X X

Dear lovers of diy mixed arts show on little village,

😀please circulate this message and the gig will sell oot!!

new Portsound returns next Saturday with very exciting guests who are making music from the local area that is being noticed around the globe. Look up the artists and treat yourself to this show. It’s something of a one-off, especially since this is SHHE’s only Scottish date to launch her album (out yesterday in physical form) through One Little Indian Records (Bjork, Massive Attack)!

It’s also something of a contemplative Fife celebration of performance Art because Kinbrae are genuinely unique in producing their ambient post classical soundscapes. Experience of this live is a moving, beautiful time.

The Fife connection is ever strengthened by Zoe Venditozzi who writes and performs with sharp eyed humour and tender affection for the characters she creates. Her dark tales always contain an unexpected element or two but never fail to be moving when heard read live. Don’t miss Zoe; she’s tremendous.

Join us. The tickets normally sell out towards this weekend and in the run up so get in touch if you need help.

,

Dominic

SHHE - SHHE - Les Oreilles Curieuses 19/10/2019

More international love for SHHE.
I’m not sure if some have clocked that the new Portsound show is the only Scottish date?
I don’t want any music lovers, friends or family to miss out on Nov 2nd X

Meaningless. Sell independently on Facebook on your page where it’s ok to sell things but not in a selling forum where people like you sell things to each other not from big businesses, diy- like, without any nonsense. Oh, and see those other 3 fora where people sell things in the exact same way on Facebook, that’s totally ok. I told them all this guff a few years ago and had this overturned. Now, I kind of haven’t got the anti-bot response drive. It’s tiresome.
So email me at [email protected]

My album was released yesterday
It’s National Album Day today
This is a nice coincidence

There were many great people that were a part of making this record

Thank you to everyone at One Little Indian Records, Katie and Out Promotion for supporting and helping me get the record out to many ears around the world

Thank you to Robin Sutherland for mixing and to Heba Kadry for mastering

To my brother Portis Wasp for photography + art direction and to Xiaofei for design + layout

The brilliant Davie Miller for management and support
Thanks also to Michael Pederson and the Neu Reekie / Fantastic Racket family

I played some of the first demos of these tracks to many friends in a house on Windsor Street. This house and those people played a special part. Thank you 🙏🏼

The album is available for pre-order from many great record stores and from One Little Indian. Please support them!

If you have already preordered, thank you so much ~ sorry there’s been a delay with sending these out, they will be with you soon

What a tonic. A superb day in Adam Stafford’s musical company, ably supported by Robbie Lesiuk. Ghari and Matthew at Assai we’re great, as we’re all the enthusiastic people who came tonight to new Portsound. The surprise act came from one 11yo DJ DEAD DISCO who had a room of adults bouncing for over an hour with electro, house and techno. Brilliant! I love you all, especially the cleaning crew at the end, Jamie the graphics man, Chris and Jason sound fellaz and the regulars.
