so after touching back down in nz an reflecting for a few days about the trip ,and what a trip it was with all the ups and downs that racing has to offer . after seeing life in another country i'm very gratefull for what i have here in nz my family and work and just the life we are fortunate to live . i'm stoked with reaching my goal for top 15 and the bro did well also on the world stage , all the hard work we put in definatly payed off as it always will , was cool to hangout with the bro . his interpritation of the haka is golden .

as you may have seen we sold the scalps over there and ive ordered a mega as this summer i'm guna work around home get my house sorted and give back some time to my wife and children as they were so great in alowing me to focus on worlds so they are in credit big time , i plan on still riding hard and will be back for some next season .

looking forward to catching up with freinds and enjoying the summer . that was for you pete c . my biggest fan

All done and dusted Wes got 13 th and I got a 22nd, still in one piece had fun and now it's time to get smashed.......... And going on a tiki tour with a dude we meet, going to see some awesome waterfalls and hopefully not lose our organs lol.......

Not looking good for NZDH when I get back, sold my bike today for $4500, my helmet for $300 and neckbrace and knee pads for $600 and I think Wesley's will go tomorrow too.........

We finished seeding in one piece I crashed and Wes was on a fast one but we both got red flagged due to a crash good for me s**t for Wes as we had to do reruns, but hope the dude is ok people before racing. We had to wait another hour and that killed it and we had a semi fast run down and still beat our practice runs by a good 15 seconds, have to dig deep tomorrow to get up with the Brazilian flyers man they are fast. We are about another 25 seconds off the pace.....

Quali today ,the bro and I go up at 315 ,615 am NZ time so when your waking up send some strong energy this way for us , we'll be wearing black bands in respect for Dodzy , peace out NZ time to see what we made of yeoooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwww !!!!!!!

Note to anyone thinking of coming to Brazil, if you go to a buffet lunch wear shoes or jandals......picked up a metal serving spoon and got a mean shock off it, with no shoes on you have no earth to he ground, WTF

Don't think the bikes are coming home, it's crazy here they want to buy everything, guys in the pits were on the phone with there mates describing the scalps we have the only two here and they love different bikes, and standing in the uplift cue a guy hits me up for my brakes..........

Day one of practice went down well , done a few cruizy runs then started building on them feeling great on the track , got held up hard on last run of the day and still done a 3 min run so plenty in the bag .suprizingly physical for a short track few good bursts on the pedals and heaps of chatter , had a mean feed after practice back to hotel for a relax in the spa .

Heard about the sad loss to NZ downhill and New Zealand RIP Dodzy you will be missed, but I'm sure you will be shredding all the trails you dreamed of building ;-) our thoughts are with you Gabbie and all of dodzys family and friends.

Going to check out a local race on the track tomorrow and scope out some lines. 5 days and counting can't wait ....!

Had a great day today interacting with the locals, you don't understand how hard it is when you speak very little Portuguese lol lots of sign language involved :-) and the guy at the bike shop wants to buy our bikes after the race do we don't we ??? 100% tax on stuff over here WTF !!! Thanks fonz @ Markolf bikes you are a legend. Spa time now.......
