It’s been very hard for me to describe the debilitating pain I was having in my hands. I felt burning pain in both my hands anytime I even moved my fingers. I couldn’t do basic human functions such as hold a fork or my toothbrush. Washing my hair was unbearable. I felt a lot of pressure to just “work through the pain” and it look a lot of mental fortitude to relax and let my body do the healing work. Last October my doctor told me I may just have to “live with the pain.” I’m extremely happy I went to another doctor to get a second opinion. I now have a proper diagnosis and my hands have been completely pain free for over 2 months.
Coming soon on , for sale Tues Aug 24th!
I started this piece back in December when the chronic nerve pain in both my hands was subsiding. Unfortunately I had to stop when the pain ended up coming back and grew to nerve pain shooting down my back and into my legs as well. I finally have a proper diagnosis of Cervical Spondylosis, which is arthritis in my neck that is compressing all my nerves. I’m now taking physical therapy for my neck and it’s showing real improvement! I feel like a person again and I feel like I’m finally getting a hold of my life. This will be my next piece on sale on on Aug 24th. Stay tuned to see my progress!
I was asked to draw Helena from Orphan Black as a private commission. I cant wait to send her to her new home.

For those of you who haven’t heard, I’ve been suffering from chronic nerve pain in my hands and all over my body for the past couple years. I’ve been unable to work, let alone do much else. But I’m finally making some progress and am slowly able to do minor things again! So here I am staring at my sketchbook paralyzed by two years of pent up creative energy… How do you decide what to do when you have too many ideas bursting to come out??
