Today on the occasion of Children's Day, children's books were presented to Mrs. Rekha Bhatti of Help a Child of India, for establishing a reading corner for underprivileged children of slum area

ਮਾਂ ਬੋਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਮਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਕਾਮਰੇਡ ਸੋਹਣ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੋਸ਼ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਸੱਥ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸ.ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਪੰਨੂੰ ਦੀਆ ਦੋ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਕਹਾਣੀਆਂ ਦੀਆ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ- ਸੇਠਾਂ ਦੀ ਨੂੰਹ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਬਾਝ ਨਹੀਂ -ਲੋਕ ਅਰਪਣ ਕੀਤੀਆ ਗਈਆ।

ਰਾਬਤਾ ਮੁਕਾਲਮਾ ਕਾਵਿ ਮੰਚ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਕਾਮਰੇਡ ਸੋਹਣ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੋਸ਼ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਮਿਤੀ 14/10/2023 ਨੂੰ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਰਚਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਵੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਸਭਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਗੁਜਾਰੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਚਰਚਾ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ. ਬੁਲਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਰਾਏ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ ਵਲੋਂ ਵਰਿ੍ਆਂ ਬੱਧੀ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਤੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਬਜ਼ਾ ਗਲਤ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਸਭਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਪਸੀ ਖਿਚੋਤਾਣ ਵੀ ਸਭਾਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਗੁਜ਼ਾਰੀ ਤੇ ਮਾੜਾ ਪ੍ਭਾਵ ਪਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ. ਸਮਾਗਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਕਤ ਸਿਰ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਹੋਣਾ ਤੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿਚ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਅਨੁਸ਼ਾਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਸਮਾਗਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਗੀ ਮੰਡਲ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਥਾ ਬੰਦ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਐਸ ਪ੍ਸੋਤਮ,ਹਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ, ਜਗਤਾਰ ਗਿੱਲ, ਸ਼ਾਇਰ ਮਲਵਿੰਦਰ, ਮੋਹਨ ਬੇਗੋਵਾਲ, ਬਲਜਿੰਦਰ ਮਾਂਗਟ,ਸਤਿੰਦਰ ਓਨੀ,ਵਿਜੇਤਾ ਭਾਰਦਵਾਜ, ਭਗਤ ਨਰਾਇਣ, ਡਾ ਰਾਕੇਸ਼ ਤਿਲਕ ਰਾਜ ਨੇ ਅਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਰੱਖੇ. ਬਲਜਿੰਦਰ ਮਾਂਗਟ ਨੇ ਆਏ ਹੋਏ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ.

Punjabi Sahit Sabha Choghawa released Punjabi prose book-Sahakda Samaj by retired Principal.Balwinder Singh Fatehpuri on Saturday.Nirmal Arpan,Dharwinder Singh Aulakh, Dr.Prabhjot Kaur Sandhu,Jasbir Singh Jhabal,Sarab jit Singh Sandhu,Rajbir Kaur Grewal,Baljinder Kaur and other present shared their views.

Punjabi Sabhiyachar Sath and Sahit Manch Amritsar released Punjabi poetry book- Motiya Da Sagar written by Wasan Singh Tungawala in the presence of writers of the city on Monday.Jasbir Singh Jhabal,Smt Jagir Kaur Mirankot, Manjinder Singh,Baljit Kaur Riar,Rajbir Kaur Grewal and other renowned writers were present.

Students of class 6th to 8th standard of Akal Purakh Ki Fauj visited the library.Library orientation done by Dr. Prabhjot Kaur. Thereafter students shared their views about first time visit to a public library

Today S Bakhtawar Singh ji retired IAS addressed aspirants preparing for different examinations at the library.He shared tips helpful in preparation for the competitive examinations and offered free guidance also anytime they need.

On National Librarian's Day,12th August 2023,a story book in Punjabi was released at the library to mark the day with Maan Dhiyan Da te International Sahit Manch U K -Ms Rajbir Kaur Grewal Writer,Mrs.Kawaljeet Kaur especially came from Haryana with her family for the book release at the city.This event was organised with the collaboration of Department of Languages, Amritsar.After the release of book named Laah-Paah, poetry session also held on the occasion.In this session,famous poets of the city recited their poems. Dr.Paramjit Singh Kalsi, Language Officer,Amritsar ,Dr.Rani,Dean Punjabi department,BBK DAV College,Ajit Singh,Dharminder Singh Aulakh,Satinder Singh Othi, Manmohan Singh Baserke, Kashmir Singh,P Parshotam,Kuldeep Singh,Gurinder Singh Bhakna Satinder Kaur,Gurpreet Kaur and Rajbir Kaur Grewal participated and managed the stage very well too.All participants were honoured in this event.

A team from the Quality Council of India visited the district library to record the impact of the library on the users.Its an autonomous body under the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry which approves new programs and monitors their implementation and subsequent reviews,assesses significant changes, and audits the quality assurance mechanisms within institutions.

Help A Child of India is a registered non-profit Civil Society engaged in the
development of the deprived children in the peripheries of the social fabric.A batch of students first time visited any library and enjoyed reading story books of the children section.

ਅੱਜ 19 ਜੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪਾਠ ਦਿਵਸ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਸਤਰੰਗੀ ਮੈਗਜ਼ੀਨ ਰਿਲੀਜ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਵੀਸ਼ਰੀ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।ਮੈਗਜ਼ੀਨ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਲੇਖਕ ਸ: ਗੁਰਬਖਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਲੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਸੱਥ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਦੇ ਸੰਪਾਦਕੀ ਬੋਰਡ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਕਵੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ।ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਸਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੱਬਲ, ਅਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਬੀਪੁਰੀ, ਜਗੀਰ ਕੌਰ ਮੀਰਾਂਕੋਟ, ਈਰਬਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ, ਜਸਵੰਤ ਸ਼ੀਪ, ਬਲਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਂਗਟ, ਬਲਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਪੰਧੇਰ, ਬਲਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੇਲੀ ਰਮੇਸ਼ ਜਾਨੂ। ਗੁਰਚਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਭਰਾ ਕਵਿਤਾਵਾਂ ਪੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਬੀਰ ਕੌਰ ਗਰੇਵਾਲ ਸਟੇਜ ਸੰਚਾਲਿਕਾ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਡਾ: ਪ੍ਰਭਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਜਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਲਾਇਬ੍ਰੇਰੀਅਨ ਨੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਤੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ।

Public library plays a pivotal role in fulfilling SDGoals 2030.Environmental activism was today' theme at the library. Mission Agaaz,Hariywal Punjab team and all those whose actions are contributing to save our environment in big or small way were part of the meet.Er.Daljit Singh Kohli,Dr Iqbal Singh,J S Nagpal,Traffic incharge of the city S Daljit Singh,Deepak Babbar,PN Sharma,D B Dhiman and others shared their useful tips to be used in daily life to save environment in today's open meet.Plantation was done at the library and D B Dhiman distributed free books to library members to promote reading.
