On behalf of the Montserrat Arts Council and the entire calypso fraternity we extend our deepest condolences to the family of William “Mighty Ruler” Murrain. His style and music was extraordinary and indeed exemplary and cannot be compared to any other. It was indeed a blessing to have known a calypsonian with such unique skills and voice like that of The Mighty Ruler.
I had the fortunate opportunity to visit him the night before his passing. May his soul Rest in Peace and rise in glory.
