NMS a very good bet down the stretch last season winning and covering 6 out of their last 7 games. New Mexico State is a 7point favorite for their home opener against UMass tonight. The NMS Aggies won and covered against the Minutemen in each of the last 2 seasons. They return 8 starters on Offense - 3 of the leading rushers and 3 on the offensive line. UMASS run defense was less than good. Shoupd be a long day for the UMASS Defense

UMass has lost 20 straight road games, and is 2-4 ATS in their last 6 games overall. To go alone with the poor UMASS defense their offense was also uninspiring.

These are two teams who have not been very good. Jacksonville St is moving up to the FBS in Conference USA . Strongest point is their experienced QB - Webb who is in his 7th year !

But UTEP finished 5-7 last year and has a chance of being bowl eligible this year with the experience returning to the field. A redshirt senior at QB - Hardison .

Jacksonville State has some talented play makers…but It will not be enough for the step up in competition to overcome an experienced UTEP team with increasing confidence.

Notre Dame is starting this season like many teams with goals of a national championship. This year 2nd year head coach Marcus Freeman has the QB to make some noise and enter the Heisman conversation. Sam Hartman transferred from Wake Forest. Who holds ACC records for passing yards at 12967 and TD's - 110. The ND offensive line is experienced and will offer solid protection. Question will be in the WR's from ND can step up and make the plays Hartman has proven capable of.

Notre Dame defense has some new faces and on paper they have the skills and talents to be good. But paper don't stop TD's. The benefit of schedule is ND had many weeks being game one to prepare for Navy's triple option offense.

Navy has a new Head Coach and OC. they said they would like to open up the offense a bit, but long traditions are hard to change. Also going into this game no Starting QB has been announced and there is a possibility of 3 QB's may see action for Navy.

Last year ND lost focus and Navy had a nice 19-0 run in the second half to make the game close. ND won - 35-32. ND put up 35 with much less talent at QB. And if you remove last year's game... ND has outscored Navy an average of 43.3 to 19.3 in the prior 3 games. Closest game being a 22-point win.

Our strategy is to place no more 4% of your bankroll on any single wager. It may sound like a small amount of money to wager, but it will protect you from running through your bankroll in one weekend. Approach it as a business and place bets that allow you to sleep at night - win or lose. As your bankroll increases so will the winnings as the 4% will gradually increase in proportion. Afterall is you can't show a profit betting 4%, what makes you think you would be profitable betting 50% of your bankroll??? A couple of losses in a row and you're busted!

A common mistake new bettors can make is being reckless with their bankrolls. If they are fans of a team, they’ll bet more on it. When they’re winning, they’ll double down because they’re overconfident. When they’re losing, they’ll start chasing with the hopes of winning it all back in one game.
