The Lone Star English Setter Club is having back to back specialities July 20th in conjunction with 4 days of all breed shows.
Our judges are Dr. Jill Warren and Barbara Dempsey Alderman.
Superintendent is Jack Onofrio.

We are so excited for our Specialty in October in conjunction with Stephenville Kennel Club in Belton, Texas 4 days of shows!!!! starting on October 15th. Judges are Suzanne Dillin for Thursday, Fri Beverly Anderson, Our specialty judge Helen Dorrence, Sweeps is Ann Napper, Saturday is JoAnne Buehler and Sunday is Richard Lewis. Will try to post when entries open nothing like getting your heart racing to get your entry in with Onofrio only opening at the last minute. See you there!!!!

Lone Star English Setter Club has been able to reschedule our speciality for October 16th! Big thanks to Stephenville KC for allowing us to join in conjunction with their club in Belton Tx. Helen Dorrence will be judging and our Sweepstake judge is Mary Ann Napper. This will be 3 days of shows. Will follow up with judges for the All Breed Shows shortly.

The Houston World Series of Dog Shows, the member clubs and the show committees regrettably announce the cancellation of our shows, July 15-19, 2020 at NRG Center.

We have studied all aspects of the current public orders, social distancing rules as well as the AKC guidance. We tried to incorporate best practices suggested by many to ensure the health and well-being of all in attendance. We thank the many people who have shared suggestions with their in-depth knowledge of large indoor shows. After considering all of these ideas and discussing the challenges with our facility’s manager, we agreed our series could not provide the appropriate social distancing requirements.

This was not an easy decision for us and it is one that leaves us with heavy hearts. We are so very proud of this series originating in 1977 with two Show of the Year awards by Purina Pro Plan and Dog News. We thank all of our exhibitors, judges, vendors, sponsors and guests who have supported us in the past. We hope to see you at an even bigger, better event in 2021, and wish you a safe & healthy year until then.

It is with sadness that the ESAA board has decided that our national speciality is cancelled. I know this was not an easy choice for them. They will be notifying us of things progressing regarding maturity, futurity and Top 20 options that they are exploring. Hang in there everyone and be safe!

Hey everyone, hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. I know we are all missing our friends and fun at the shows. So let's share what we are doing during this break. Not just for your fur babies but how are you doing. Myself I'm trying to stay out of the fridge so when you see me you will at least recognize me. Lol! Conditioning my dogs, making sure bathes and groomed on a weekly basis and starting Obedient training, and some trick dog training. NOW it's your turn tell us what's happening.

AKC Performance Events Scholarship
The AKC Performance Events Department is excited to announce a new AKC Performance Events Scholarship Program. The Performance Events Scholarship Program is meant to assist those young people who have demonstrated an interest in AKC Performance sports and who seek to achieve higher education whether it be through vocational school or a two- or four-year college.
Scholarship Announcement
AKC is now accepting applications for the Performance Events Scholarship Program for those students who will be attending school for the 2020-2021 academic year. The deadline to apply for the AKC Performance Events Scholarship Program is: Friday, March 6, 2020.

Well I apparently messed up in sending in the premium list to Onofrio. FYI there will be a 4 to 6 month puppy class offered and we have added NOHS to our Specialty in Conroe November 29.. In addition the officers are shown wrong Yes this is my fault and the premium list is being updated. Sorry for any confusion. So please try to join us and work off some of that turkey. You have our specialty on Friday with Judge Charles Olvis and J Paul Woito judging our sweepstakes. On Saturday we have Juan Miranda and Sunday we have Ann Yuhasz. Hope to see you there!!!!
