Been a little quiet over here but wanted to pop in and say thank you so much for streaming my ‘Venus’ EP, I see and appreciate every single one of you. It makes me so happy to see the music resonating with you all. After 4 months of renovating our new house I’m so excited to be getting back into writing mode again now! Feeling super refreshed and inspired after a break from music and using my creativity in a different way. 🤍✨

•🤍 MY ‘VENUS’ EP IS OUT NOW! 🤍•
It’s hard to describe how it feels to finally be releasing this little body of work right here. I’ve clutched it so close to my heart for so long, unsure of when the right time would be to release it but it feels so good to finally set this one free now. ‘Venus’ feels like the final trilogy of the 3 EP’s I’ve released over the past 8 years as both Shannon Saunders and iiola. ‘Instar’ being the 1st, ‘Chrysalis’ the 2nd and now finally ‘Venus’. I have grown so much as both a Person and an Artist over this period of time which I really feel is documented throughout this music, something I’m so grateful will always be there to remind me of the growth I’ve endured and the things I’ve overcome. A journey that started out all on my own back in 2010, uploading videos to YouTube of me singing my songs in my childhood bedroom, with a full circle moment that has allowed me to come back to myself now so many years on. ‘Venus’ marks the moment in my life where I feel more confident in myself than I ever have, more in alignment to my purpose as a person on this Earth and more connected to those I love and the world around me. I can feel another change coming which both excites me and terrifies me but with that comes more trust than ever and hope that I’ll continue to create intentionally for both myself as an artist, you as the listeners and other creatives for another decade to come. It’s so weird being a Singer/Songwriter and having to navigate this online world but I want to stay positive about it and try to document my creativity as much as possible without taking away from the moment. Trying to find more of a balance so I can share with you all but also spend time away from social media for my mental health.

Thanks for being patient with me, these past few years have been tough for us all and I’m so grateful I’ve been able to create BTS and still maintain your support throughout.

I’ve decided 2022 is my year to share more of myself and my creativity with you all again, which I feel really good about as it means I must be in a better place mentally than I have been and even recognising that as I type feels pretty damn good in itself. 🕊🤍✨
