I want to brag for Grace Sheffer, because she won't do it for herself. Grace was 1 of 25 students in the state of Michigan who was honored last week for winning the Breaking Traditions Merit Award. The award is given to CTE students who are breaking gender roles in their career aspirations. Grace is going to Glen Oaks Community College to study Criminal Justice. Grace has her sights on becoming a Michigan State Trooper. It has been an honor and my privilege to have met Grace. Thank you for what you do Grace!!!

Pepper spray day!
To any of my former male students looking for a job. We have openings at the youth home in Jackson. Part-time, Fri-Mon, 29 hrs/week, night shift. There's plenty of hours to pick up, if wanted. $19.60 starting pay plus .50 for nights. It's a great job for someone starting out or someone that enjoys working with kids. Associate's required, law enforcement, corrections, or similar. Job openings can be found on the Jackson County web site.
