Toughees & BATA Group donates 100 pairs of school shoes towards WARM A CHILD Campaign

ACAESWA’s Warm a Child
‘Whoever is kind to the poor, lends to the Lord’… Proverbs 19:17. This was the verse quoted by Minister of Sports, Culture & Youth Affairs, Hon Madze Bulunga during today’s donation.
The arts and education sectors became one today when over 100 school shoes were donated to underprivileged children around the country. The donation is part of ACAESWA’s on-going ‘Keep a Child Warm’ campaign. The campaign wishes to help 500 school children with school shoes before the end of October.
ACAESWA President, Phetsile Masilela humbly stated that the donation was the collective effort of local gospel artists that sought to assist the government during these trying times. She further went on to thank Toughees and Bata Group who donated the 100 pairs. The chairperson also invited companies and the public to assist in reaching the targeted 500 pairs before the end of October. However, she further made it clear that any form of donation would be largely appreciated.
The presentation was graced by the presence of the Minister of Education and Training, Hon Lady Howard Mabuza who thankfully accepted the donation. She acknowledged the generous strides taken by the local gospel artists in ensuring the well-being of these children. She also ensured that the donation would be facilitated by the ministry’s career guidance and counseling, further stating that, “they will let us know how they plan to distribute.”
Minister of Sports, Culture & Youth Affairs, Hon Madze Bulunga applauded the selflessness exhibited by local gospel artists. Also present was Eswatini National Youth Council (ENYC) CEO Stanley Dlamini who expressed deep appreciation and respect for local gospel artists for such a monumental campaign.
