My 2022 ride

Well yesterday we decided to go to Cumberland to feel things out after having clutch problems at bedford the week before. I haven't posted results on here for a while cause I'm still learning how to drive this semi- late. But last night I started 7th in the feature and found myself in third with 5 to go, but on restarts the old girl just doesn't have the get up and go the others do and fell back to 6th but made a pass on the last lap for my first top 5 of the year. My dad kept saying all day yesterday, you'll get a top 5 tonight. I can't thank everyone enough for all the help and knowledge that I have this year from Brian Weyandt Sr and Jesse Snyder. Thank you guys so much. Off to bedford Friday night for 30 lap feature in memory of John Howsare Sr.

So this week we ran a tribute race to the late great Turk Burket. Started last in my heat race and passed two cars. Started 11th in the feature, thankfully it was a 35 lap feature. I worked my way up to 6th and just rode there for about 20 laps. Then cars started dropping out like flies and I moved up to 2nd. On the final restart I made a run for the win but came home a bridesmaid again. Second place for the third week in a row. Not too bad of a start for the year though. One of these days I'll get up there.

Started the evening off on the pole for the heat race, and won the heat race. Pulled a 4 for the redraw, so I was supposed top start 4th in the feature but one of the front row starters was a no show so that moved everyone up a spot. So I ended up starting 3rd. On the start I ended up falling back to 4th but worked my way back up to 2nd and hounded Denny Pittman for the lead. Just couldn't get around him but it was a really good race.

Well we had a good start to the year this week. Started 5th in the heart race and finished 4th. Started 6th in the feature and finished 3rd. My cousin Kyle finished 2nd and Barry finished 5th, so all in all it was a good race for the weyandt/weyant racing teams this weekend. Just glad everything came home in one piece.

Well I looked all winter to try and come up with a new paint scheme but I didn't find anything I liked or looked good, so I just decided to go with the same scheme as last year. Although this year we've darkened the red up and added metallic metal flake to everything. She ought to shine under the lights. Hopefully next week ill be showing the final touches.
