I see you! We put in THE WORK. 22 years in now. I’ll be (clears throat) 42 in 10 days and your girl is TIRED. But honestly, I love it now more than I did then. I loooove all these new stylists out here. You guys are so talented! And killing it on social media. But imagine this?? What if you had to do this 😂 could you do it?? They really don’t know how lucky they are. I’m not saying they aren’t working hard. But we had to do $30 haircuts WITH a coupon 😂😂
🎆 Happy New Year! Keeping it real in 2024
Time to change some of the ways we think about our hair and the products we use.
Here are some tips:
• Throw out any product that’s over 6 months old
• Toss the old flat iron that doesn't have a dial for a heat setting
• Say goodbye to thinking “I can get it cheaper at ______ (fill in the blank) A lot of “discount” products on the shelves are diverted. A lot of cheaper products have fillers, like waxes. Those ingredients can lead to a buildup over time, leaving the hair feeling heavy, loss of shine, dull + hard to curl, style and color.
• Don’t buy the liter products for the family unless everyone has the same type of hair…. Guaranteed, they don't!
• DO ask your stylist for recommendations for shampoos, conditioners, + stylers. What you use on your hair has an impact on your color service + how your hair feels in general.
• Not every trending product out there is RIGHT for Everyone.
• Not all oils are beneficial to the hair. Most are topical, meaning they lay on the hair shaft and do nothing to nourish the interior of the hair strand. Why is this important? It creates a barrier that is hard to break through during a color service.
🍃I used Straight+ as the styling product on my color client. She has course, thick, frizz prone hair.
Round brush + blow dryer, No flat iron was used 🍃
Wishing you good hair days!
🎄💗🎄💗🎄
Unedited, unfiltered, unapologetically perfect results every time.
Reds are notorious for being the “problem child” of the hair world. Their molecules are much larger than blonde and brunette which makes them hard to “sit” inside the cuticle of the hair.
Formulation, knowledge and expertise are key, the other 50% of that equation is YOU. Maintaining (any) color at home is so important. Here’s some helpful tips:
🔑 Sulfate Free shampoos and conditioners for Your hair type (not from the drug store!)
🔑 cool water rinses
🔑 protective product pre blow dry… spray gel, styling cream etc.
🔑 ease up on the high heat flat irons!
🔑 blow dry with the nozzle pointing downward on the hair
Happy Hair Days- Kim K 💕

Full week of foils and fun colors.
📸 1: I achieved this look using a combination of bleach & 20 vol, and chocolates and mocha series to create a little depth. Full foil.
📸 2: What it looked like during processing. I marked the foils using a sharpie so I knew exactly where the dark color was. I removed those first, rinsed them, and then removed the foils with bleach.
📸 3: Nothing like a rich red Auburn in the fall
📸 4: Halo technique for added highlights.
📸 5:All Nutrient Ruby series & Pulp Riot Mystic Fog
Rich chocolates, spicy brunettes, curls for days.
🍂 Maintain your color with sulfate free shampoos & make sure to always use conditioner.
🍂Pro tip: Shampoo from scalp down, condition from ends up
🍂Check your flat iron settings! If your using one without a dial, it’s time to find one that has a heat control setting. High heat & excessive use can actually pull the color out!
🍂”Build” your style… after shampooing/conditioning, use products like mousse or spray gels that will give you volume. Balms or creams that control curl or frizz are an important step to help smooth hair while blow drying.
🍂Finishing products like paste, illuminating gelade & of course hair sprays will complete your look.
Chocolate with a touch of mahogany.

First day in my new loft
It’s Official! I’ll be at my new location on June 14th!
I look forward to seeing you 🧡
Enjoy your special day!
It's just hair - I was a part of your wedding.
It's just hair - I was your child's first haircut.
It's just hair - I was there for your first date.
It's just hair - I was there for their funeral.
It's just hair- I was there for your graduation.
It's just hair- I was there when you didn't like the way you looked.
It's just hair- when you got offered your dream job and nobody else knew but me and you!
It's just hair- when you met the person of your dreams and they told you they loved you for the very first time!
It's just hair- when all you wanted in the whole world is a hug from your hairstylist because you knew they'd give it to you with open arms!
It's just hair- when you lost your job and didn't know what you were going to do.
It's just hair- when you were getting a divorce and just needed to feel better about yourself.
It's just hair- when you had a terrible day and looked forward to being able to vent without being judged.
It's just hair- when you are about to go on vacation and can't wait to tell me all about it on your next visit.
It's just hair - when you were expecting your first child. And I was a safe person to be able to tell.
It's not "just hair"… Never has been and never will be!

🍁
Enjoy the holiday!
Happy Thanksgiving🦃🍁
Beautiful fall blondes 🌾🍂
Tone them down, warm them up, add a deeper base for some contrast.
Only Four left….
Very grateful for all of YOU!♥️
Part of my portfolio
In love with layers….whether they’re long, short, connected or disconnected. 😍
What is haircutting?
The art of cutting straight lines on a mostly round object that has 2 flat sides & a concave nape, all while thinking of how those lines will “add” or “subtract” to a clients overall style.
That’s just the basic beginning….then there’s face shape, hair texture, cowlicks, what implements to use- scissor(s), razor, thinning shears & where on the head to use them & lastly, the clients expectations of the end result & whether they can recreate it at home.
Whew 😅
Let’s not even talk about color…. Just yet.
That’s for another post 😉
