This is just a reminder that the annual Black Men Walking Inc. suit drive ends next Friday, August 2nd. We're appreciative of the participation so far, and we're looking forward to receiving more suits for this wonderful cause. We also want to thank the businesses and organizations that are allowing us to use their spaces for drop off. Please support them!!!!

02/07/2019

Pleased to announce that today we're officially kicking off our Black Men Walking Inc. SUIT DRIVE!!! We are collecting for brothers who are applying for jobs but don't have suits for interviews. We're also collecting for our brothers in college who may be required to dress up for their field of study. We did pretty good last year thanks to the participation from the good brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi. I'm setting a goal of 100 suits this year. This cause will cost you nothing. Just let the suit go. I know you can't fit it anymore. "They" know you can't fit anymore. You know you can't fit it anymore. Drive ends on August 2nd.Now let the giving begin!!!!

7-Eleven North Jax on Lem Turner has been BLACK OWNED since April. Our very own Gabe Roziers has already met the owner, so we know it’s real 💯. Ok community, I just led y'all to the water. Now it's time to activate the support. Be the change you want to see.

18/06/2019

Black Men Walking Inc. had so much success with the suit drive last yr, and we think that it's time for another one. We'll be collecting for brothers applying for jobs that don't have suits for interviews. We'll also collect for our young men in college who may need suits for their field of study. This Wednesday is Juneteenth, and I would love to kick the drive off on such a special day. I'm looking to setup drop off locations on each side of town. If you're a business owner, church or organization that doesn't mind serving as a post, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Alright good people. The EWC men's basketball team will be on King's Rd tomorrow washing cars at Burger King. They are raising money for new lockers, so come out and support the cause if you can. We've been renovating the locker room for some time now, and we're currently $5500 away from completing this project. Cars are only $10 in and out and Trucks/SUV $15. We'll also be selling old game jerseys. These are items that you wouldn't be able to find in the store. This is an opportunity that you don't want to miss if you are a former player, EWC alumni, sneaker head or fan. Jerseys available for only $30.

Black Men Walking Inc. is partnering with My Village Votes Too this Saturday. Please hit the link below and register. It only takes a few seconds to do. Also follow that up by joining us on Saturday for early voting at the location listed below. Thanks in advance

We put a lot of work into this event, so I'm overly excited about this career fair. I've been told by Student Affairs that if we know anyone that's really serious about getting a job, you can come out. Black Men Walking sponsored it, so we got the ok to get our peoples in the building. The flyer says that business attire and resume' are required, and we mean just that. I'm proud of my team and the great things we're doing in the community and EWC. I just want to give a big thanks to everyone who has supported us.

Well God called Doctor Oswald P Bronson Sr home on yesterday. I don't believe that it was at all coincidence that he transitioned from this life on a Sunday while the BCU concert choir were lifting their voices at The Bethel Church here in Jacksonville. I truly believe that the heavenly angels were also lifting their voices during the process. Black Men Walking Inc. had an opportunity to honor his life and work last month, and I can honestly say it was one of the proudest moments of my life. We gave him his flowers while he could still smell them. Please keep the Bronson family in your prayers. 🐯

Family if you want to run ads for your business or organization on a regional or national platform, inbox or give me a call if you have my number for more info. I'm not knocking any local platforms. I just think it's cool for people to live stream HBCU games and see Black Men Walking ads during it. The best part about it is that my ads will be ran for a whole year for only$450. My organization gets exposure and HBCUs are getting exposure because of my sponsorship. If you sign up today, you can get in with only paying $150 upfront. If you don't feel like 50% of your goals or expectations have been met in 6 months, don't even worry about the other $300. Thank me later www.MyJBN.com/up/Ads.html

Happy Birthday Sister Rosa Parks! We Thank you for your courage and resilience✊🏾

03/02/2019

I know I'm supposed to be posting brothers and sisters who have contributed in some way to our culture who's birthday are in February, but I saw this and couldn't pass it up. Thank you Urban Intellectuals. Happy birthday and my bad on snubbing you on your day Sean Kingston lol. This fact resonates because of our own treasure in the heart of Durkeeville. We had the likes of Hank Aaron and our very own James Weldon Johnson play in JP Small park. Trust and believe Black Men Walking is cooking up something...stay tuned.

02/02/2019

For Black History Month, every day we will post the birthdays of brothers and sisters who've contributed to our culture who were also born in the month of February. With that being said, a King was born on the 2nd. Happy birthday Trayvon Martin.

I just want to S/O this year's sponsors for the Black Men Walking gala. I remember rubbing the hair out my head and running behind potential prospects last year. I appreciate the few that stepped up last year and supported what we were doing. This year I felt that it was important that we reach out to some vendors and sponsors outside of the city. You'll see names on here that you're not familiar with. We suggest that you go look them up. You'll find that we have Texas, California, NY, Arkansas, Charlotte, Orlando, Miami and Palm Beach represented here. They all have 2 things in common. They are all black owned and Black Men Walking is bringing them here this weekend. Also a big S/o to our Jacksonville sponsors. Thank you for appreciating our vision. Tickets available at www.blackmenwalking.com

Dr Oswald P Bronson Sr not only served as president of Bethune Cookman University for 29 years. After retiring, he came here and served as interim president of Edward Waters College for 2 years to help the institution get back on track. People shouldn't have to die for us to turn out in numbers. Calling all BCU and EWC alumni! The annual reunion parties at the local clubs shouldn't be the only thing that pulls you out the house. The Bronson family will be in the building. Let's show them that you haven't forgotten about them. Tickets available at www.blackmenwalking.com
