Just a reminder, there is still no MOPs for the next few week as we continue to get the building back together. We we continue to keep you updated. Thanks for all your support and encouragement!

Y’all God is so Good! I was all about trying to preserve as much of the original building as we could, while making the building modern and inviting. To those who have been inside the SittingRoom how cool is it that we went with Green and Red, before even knowing this?! I love our Red!

Now that we have the entire front back to the original siding, we finally figured it out y’all! The SittingRoom was originally a Texaco!

Alright Friends, today is the day! Our floor is going down! To all of our friends that signed pages, you will be able to see it again soon!

As Epoxy is very expensive, here is the link to make a donation to help cover the cost of sealing the encyclopedia pages on our floor that have been autographed by the community. Any Floor Friend donation of at least $25 will be emailed a voucher for a Free Drink. Our Floor Friends will also receive a The SittingRoom Coffee Shop tumbler as a thank you gift in addition to a 10% Floor Friend Discount for all of 2024. Thank you for your generosity and Support!

Floor Friend Donations - The SittingRoom Donations will be used to cover the cost of Epoxy to seal the Encyclopedia pages onto the floor that have been signed by the community. Additional funds will be used to continue the maintenance necessary for the SittingRoom to continue to be a safe place for the community to gather and connect.

Hey friends! Lots of good news! We should be done with the waterline this week! Also because we will have water, we can seal epoxy the floors! For everyone who autographed a book page, get ready to be famous in a small town! Lastly we have decided to stick with the original 70’s siding. To paint it or leave it….. what are your thoughts?

Breaking News! We have a busted main waterline, as such we have No water. Therefore we are unable to have our Grand opening at this time, and will be closed until further Notice. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

FREE coffee for a year….Tomorrow 11am-5pm we will be at the Scarecrow Festival in Daleville, Al located at the Culpeper Park. A few exciting things will be happening…..

1. We will be drawing the winner of Free Coffee For a year from the names that were entered last year at 11:30am.

2. YOU will be able to put YOUR name in for this years Drawing of Free Coffee for a year.

3. We will have our famous cinnamon rolls at our booth for donation while supplies last.

4. We will have our encyclopedia pages out for one last chance to autograph a page before they are epoxied to the floor.

No MOPs this week!

It has been decided that it will be best if Coffee and Conversation (MOPs) is paused while we are painting. It has also been decided that we will be putting down our encyclopedia pages on the floor while we are already closed.

MOPS and Regular Business WILL resume November 13th.

Important! We will be closed to the general public the next two weeks while we continue renovations that were required to be done by our first “real” health inspection. While it may not pertain to your coffee if our utility room is painted, it matters to the heath Department.

MOPS will still meet on Fridays .
Custom platters are also still being delivered.

We had a fun field trip today to Dothan Nursery to pick up the succulents for Coffee and Conversation today! To all our friends with Kids, Dothan Nursery is one of our favorite kid friendly businesses. They have so many fun things for kids, from mini shopping carts, to games and chalk to color on sidewalks while grown ups shop. And we can’t leave out the coffee. Amongst being able to shop for beautiful plants while your Kids are entertained, you can enjoy a free cup of coffee. … Did I mention that Dothan Nursery is one of our favorite places?

Due to resource management, we will be opening at 8:30 am until further notice. Thank you for your understanding.
