Every day for the next year there will be a new Candle representing each fallen hero. One candle for each of our brothers KIA in Vietnam. 1720 handmade candles. Please let the families know that you care and you haven't forgotten our fallen brothers. Update on my medical conditions. Getting stronger every day. Made my first candle Since May 2018. This candle was made by me for his nephew of my best friend who died on the battlefield on July 20, 1967 he was also my best friend.
Update I will be gone for bypass surgery on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. It will take me a month to recover so I will not be making any candles for while. Thank you for your support and hope to Be back soon. AIRBORNE Forever.

Born at Winston-Salem, North Carolina, February 22, 1928, he earned the Medal of Honor in Vietnam while serving as a Medical Corpsman with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry, 173rd Airborne Brigade on November 8, 1965.
In spite of being wounded himself, he saved the lives of many members of his unit. He was presented the Medal of Honor by President Johnson on March 9, 1967 at the White House. He was the first living black American to have received the Medal of Honor since the Spanish-American War in 1898.
He died on February 4, 1984 and was buried in Section 46 of Arlington National Cemetery
