The Sunshine Committee organized the annual trick-or-treat event for staff kids after school today. Most definitely a little fun for them and our staff. 🎃👻

Lady Spikes finish season at district tournament Lady Spikes volleyball teams finished their seasons with varying results when they made up the recent middle school district tournament hosted by Boerne and Medina Valley ISDs.

The HPMS stained glass rededication was a beautiful moment to honor the artist and occurred Tuesday evening. The creation continues to inspire many of our young artists.

As we celebrate Red Ribbon Week, counselors have been in Science classes discussing the physical and psychological effects of substances. Thank you, Mrs. Arredondo, Mrs. Reynolds, and Mrs. Goodwyn, for sharing your wealth of knowledge to educate our students.
Mrs. Cormier’s class was reading a book and answering questions about Helen Keller. Students reviewed key terms before beginning and made real world connections.
Meet Ms. Angela, one of our custodians. She works countless hours along with many others to keep our school clean.
The 1st pep rally of the school year was a good time for ALL! 8th grade won the spirit stick, and our staff had some fun playing the game! Mrs. Baehre did 20 jumping jacks, and Mr. Davis reminded us the reason for breast cancer awareness & pink out.

The Sunshine Committee surprised the bus drivers with drinks, treats, and snacks. We are incredibly thankful for all the drivers getting students to and from school!
HPMS staff joined together for a tailgate party. Fans came out to support some of their favorite players and enjoyed an early dinner.
Mrs. Nelson’s class was covering test taking strategies and Science content for the bell activity. Students eliminated answer choices by identifying key words and distracting answer choices.
Ms. Putnam’s Career & College Exploratory class was learning about Bill and Account Collectors. Following the initial explanation of the career, students watched a short clip elaborating about the details of the occupation.
Student Council has planned a fun Red Ribbon Week beginning 10/28-10/31! This is a bit early but will give students & families a little extra planning time.

8th grade A & B volleyball teams showed up last night in Fredericksburg to get that WIN!
Coach O, motivational speaker, shared his life story with 8th graders about how to overcome adversity, set goals, find confidence, and if you see something say something. Thank you to Kerrville Public School Foundation for making this possible.
