Our September EOS waterfit birthday lunch! The love and friendship in this group is just beautiful. I never thought being a fitness instructor would bring such amazing people into my life! 🩵🌎
Hey members, more specifically class attendees: the process both for reserving a group fitness class and checking in is changing for the better! Effective 9/28, the kiosks and paper printouts are being phased out and the Eos app will be the means to both book and check-in to a class. You’ll need to update the app on your phone and you may have to uninstall and reinstall it. You can enroll in a class up to 26hrs prior and your check-in will happen when you scan in at the front desk. That check-in is very important; as with the kiosk system, capturing accurate class counts is the way we ensure classes stay on the schedule. You’ll still be able to see classes on the website but the app will be the only way to reserve a spot and check-in to classes. Yay for progress! See you soon!!

Sometimes I find it hard to make posts about my classes as I’m the one teaching and have no way of taking pictures or videos.
Yesterday after getting over Montezuma’s Revenge we were back at it and making waves!

What a great workout today. As a waterfit instructor it’s so important to get in the water and feel the resistance and the way it works and tones your body. I stand by my statement that waterfit is truly THE best way to train. Yes some people start in the water because of injuries or surgeries, thinking it will be easy and they are pleasantly surprised to find out it is a SPORT. We need to invest in good instructors and have great programs. Every gym member currently Cross fitting, lifting, dancing ,running, will one day be in the pool and they’ll stay! Expand the waterfit program, invest in equipment, you have clients for life! 💪🏼👊🏼

A FULL CLASS TODAY AGAIN! 👏🏻
Thanks to all my water fitters who embraced the challenge and ‘Leveled 🆙⬆️’ today.
That water workout was a hard one.
Taking the time to extend and lengthen our bodies using full ROM (range of motion) really took our cardio to another LEVEL
today. We sometimes think that by going ‘faster’ we burn more calories, however we shorten our levers, lose good posture and just get out of breath.
By working through levels, bounding, suspending, elevating we get a fuller workout, leading to stronger muscles, and improving our endurance.
You rocked it today class!🥊

Interesting read.
There is a rumor in the field that says bone density is not an outcome of aquatic fitness. Many will boldly say that weight bearing on gravity is the only way to build up bone density!
