Had my cake and ate it too over the weekend and now it’s back to work we go .... for today’s we have a case that took a long time to complete.
This patient came in wanting veneers ASAP to make his teeth stand out more, to correct the alignment, to close the spaces, and make his teeth bigger and also more proportional.
He wasn’t a candidate for veneers right off the bat because you can see some of his bottom teeth overlapping his top teeth (aka a cross bite), which wouldn’t yield ideal results and would put the veneers at a higher risk for breaking. So we did some Invisalign first to get the teeth into the right position. And then we moved on to place 6 beautiful porcelain veneers that gave his smile the enhancement he wanted.
Notice how the veneers blend in beautifully, look so proportional, gums are healthy, alignment of the teeth is great (which will also help prevent them from breaking) and really just look like they belong there. That’s the key. To make a smile stand out but disappear all at the same time. This smile makeover didn’t just change his smile, it enhanced his entire face.
Sometimes things aren’t as straight forward as patients may think. Sometimes several treatments need to be completed first before the final outcome can be great. Beautiful results like this come from team work between the patient and the doctor. while the doctor creates the treatment plan, the patient must also be compliant.
