Our crew enjoyed a wonderful day at the Coupeville Canoe Races. Family time, great racing and nothing but sunshine. It was day of laughter, enjoying being back on the water and healing for our canoe family. So awesome seeing our canoe families and friends and we look forward to the next race. Way to go OTCC 🖤⚡️❤️

Our youth, they are our future. Here is 2022 OTCC kids, both Buck & Jr Buck. Woohoo!! Letssss go

01/06/2022

We will participating in the School Without Walls again this year. A few our paddlers will volunteering to introduce our war canoe paddling with the NBHS Students and what it's all about. We will be using our cedar canoes and also the Polynesian Oc1 canoes. If we can gain the interest and love for what we do with just a paddler or two, that is what we strive for, to help carry on our cultural sport.

A beautiful, but cold evening on the water

22/04/2022

We are super excited for this up and coming season of 2022. Ocean Thunder has been racing nonstop each year since 2006. Paddlers have come and gone, with a core group of paddlers who just love to paddle that keep us on the water. We have always encouraged the youth, they are our future and this year we have a few new paddlers to add to our crew. Happy training and can't wait to see our canoe family and friends

20/04/2022

Here we are with a single night. Ocean Thunder is on the water for a 2022 season. We have returning paddlers, both women and youth, we have new paddlers in which they have never paddled. Let us know if you are interested, we welcome all paddlers. Here is Shae, a new paddler who is making it look like she is a natural

Spotlight Paddler is Michelle Parker. She has paddled off & on for years. When asked what her favorite memory or races...... "I've raced off & on for many years." I love the competition, the camaraderie and keeping the traditional sport alive!
My favorite race has to be the 4man years ago up at Seabird! Me and Lauri were the only two that were game so we teamed up with two other gals and won or another was when JR & I raced in the 45+ double at Swin.... who am I kidding I love them all! But really any race our family can make it to is awesome, winning on Makah days this past year and hearing my kids cheering is the best❤️ Thank you Michelle.
We love having her in our club, she is a tough paddler, a hard worker & so much fun!
