Pray for those heading up the new Deaneries
Pray for those who have been appointed Area Deans as well as everyone who will form part of the leadership team in the new deaneries.
Following the consultation into proposed changes to our deanery structure, a Bishop’s Pastoral Order came into effect in February, reducing our deaneries from 13 to 6.
Bishop John said, “I am delighted that so many people contributed to the consultation on the changes to our deaneries, resulting in a number of amendments to the Pastoral Order. This new structure is an important step in ensuring our diocese is fit for purpose going forward, allowing us more flexibility in deploying ministry and organising mission. I pray that this will result in new partnerships and ideas for taking the love of Jesus out into our communities.”
The new deaneries are:
• Greater Dudley
• Redditch and Bromsgrove
• Kidderminster and Stourport
• Worcester
• Malvern and Upton
• Pershore and Evesham

Great to have Paula and the extra parishes as part of the Deanery
Please pray for Paula Honniball as she begins her ministry as Associate Priest in Stoke Prior, Wychbold and Upton Warren, lead the parish as it hopefully becomes part of the Bromsgrove team. Clergy: Wyn Beynon, Paula Honniball.
Pray as planning continues for Feckenham to potentially join the existing Christ the King Team (Crabbs Cross, Headless Cross and Astwood Bank) to form a new benefice sharing their focus of the south side of Redditch and immediate countryside. Clergy: Wyn Beynon.
Sad, but understandable news
At their last meeting of 2020 the Trustees of Holland House made the decision to close the House until at least March 2021.
As you are aware the government has since announced a full lockdown and as such all staff are currently on furlough.

As we celebrate the past and look to the future as our Deaneries are reorganised. Pray that this may help us to develop and strengthen relationships which allow us to serve the communities we serve and seek to follow the call of God to be His Church.
Revd Paul Lawlor, Rural Dean
Please pray for us in the Bromsgrove Deanery as we come to terms with the sudden death of David Hargreaves, our Lay Chair and loyal servant of Christ and His Church. We pray for the Holy Spirit to guide us as we look to the future. Rural Dean: Paul Lawlor.
Many of you will have heard the sad news of the recent unexpected death of Dave Hargreaves, Lay Chair of the Bromsgrove Deanery and Reader in the Ipsley Parish who also wore many other hats.
His funeral takes place on Friday 26th June at 11:45am and will be live streamed on Obitus.com.
Still looking for someone to fill the shoes of the previous Treasurer...Please pray for the right person.
Please pray for all those who look after the finances of their parish or deanery, particularly at this time when income has declined. Give thanks for all they are doing to ensure our churches can continue to share the love of Jesus with their communities.
How many people can you correctly identify in this clip?
Thanks to all our churchwardens :)
