A Sea of Learning -Private School
Private School
We started our school year singing HIS praises 🎶 and we finished out our first week of school singing 🎵 HIS praises! And like Mrs. Bev always says, “ And they all say….. AMEN!!” 🙏🙏❤️🙏🙏❤️🙏🙏❤️
🥊 You aren’t in this life alone! UNC Basketball Legend Phil Ford is our guest speaker for Back to School Sunday and will have a great message pointing the way to Jesus! 🏀 🐐
🗓️ Service is this Sunday, Aug. 25th at 10am with 🍩 and ☕️ starting at 9am by “The Surfing Pig.”
We pledge to donate a dollar for every person that is at our Back to School Sunday this week at Glad Tidings. Proceeds will be split between helping wipe out school lunch debt with the Carteret County Public School System and “BackPack Friends”, who help provide meals for kids in need outside of school on the weekends.
Instead of asking “How was school today?”
Here are my best questions to provoke kindness.
1. Who did you sit with at lunch today?
2. Who did you ask to sit with you?
3. Was anyone sitting alone?
4. Do you like to sit alone?
5. How were you a friend today?
6. If someone’s mom said, “tell me about so and so,” what would they say about you?
7. Who did you include or invite on the playground?
8. Who needs to be included or invited or spoken to?
9. Who was kind to you?
10. How were you surprised today?
Our questions guide the thinking which in turns guides the actions and that, my friend, is the building of a lovely child.
Back to School Sunday! I hope you can all join us!
2-Day is 2-sday! The 2nd Day of 2nd grade!! It was made for 2nd grade!!!!
Year 5
Day 1
Continues….
Year 5
Day 1
Fantastic!!
School begins tomorrow. This afternoon at 2 o’clock every desk, every chair, every entrance, will be anointed with oil. Every child will be prayed for. Every teacher and every staff member will be prayed for. I ask if you are able, stop what you’re doing at 2 o’clock and pray for our school. We pray for safety, health, and knowledge. We pray for every teacher to lead our students in a way that is pleasing to Jesus. We pray for our students to have a wonderful, successful year, growing in academics and faith.
It takes a village… and for ALL we are grateful!
We are excited to open these doors for year 5! Parent Open House is tomorrow and our kiddos will come visit on Friday! ✏️ 💙
Here we GROW again! We are hiring! Please SHARE the news!

“Whatever the news, the purpose of the Lord will Stand!”

Beyond these palace walls….
It’s showtime… 😂 forgive my giggles, but I was having a blast!
What makes “A Sea of Learning” different? For one, our theater class. For about one hour per week, we come together as a student body with one goal. It’s not designed to showcase the “already” talented, but to inspire each and everyone of them to work together as a team. Public speaking, voice, music and rythm, art, reading, organization, memorization, determination, patience, practice, leadership, and confidence are just FEW of the skills that come to mind. It’s NOT easy, but they do it! We get to see personalities POP….and they away with a memory that will last a lifetime. We laugh at their personalities, and share tears of joy at their succuess, blessed that we have been a part of their experience.
I am thankful to a have a hard working staff, and parent volunteers, who believe in this experience, and dedicate many long hours to make this possible.
Forever grateful for the memories!
Terri
