Only my website is closed, not the whole business and here’s why,

I had to close my Shopify account tell further notice. My business is not closed. I will still be selling product but only in person and here’s why,

I started my business in 2021 well in college raising my son, i wanted to share my love for creating, and things I loved. So I thought of opening a store online. I didn’t want to sell on Etsy as they take lot of fees from sales, they also have had some questionable issues happen with other shops losing business cause of how Etsy handles things. So I signed up for Shopify.

I have noticed I don’t sell well online, it’s hard to reach a large audience online when there’s so many other businesses around online. I tried so hard when I start to now to reach a large audience online and it just wasn’t working. I made videos of the products I make, photographed, just wasn’t getting traction over on my website as much as I was in person at markets and arts/craft fairs.

With that said, I had to close my Shopify account cause I can’t afford the yearly subscription this year that is coming up. I just financially don’t have the funds as I haven’t made any sales online in several months. I have a local market I’ll be selling my products at here next month. My goal for now is to just sell in person locally, and sell what I have and then maybe some day I’ll be able to afford to open my online shop again. Don’t know if I’ll sell on Etsy.

Thanks to anyone that’s supported by small online business, it’s not going anywhere! I will still post my products and find other ways to sell them online & locally.
