Opinion | The Battle for the Soul of the Library 25/02/2022

“Recent news stories covering clashes over what books students should read in class and have access to in their school libraries have overlooked a major player in our unfolding scholastic drama….Missing, however, has been the figure of the woke librarian.”

I wonder if this is because most librarians are not diverse.

Opinion | The Battle for the Soul of the Library Librarians should be politically neutral. Too many aren’t.

This is no longer a culture war. It is a war on education, freedom of speech, and critical thinking.

This is like saying, if just one parent objected to a child in the school (such as discriminating them according to their race, gender, or family composition), then that child must be removed from the school and if not than the teacher must be fired, or the parents can collect an obscene amount of money that could otherwise be used for the purchase of new quality inclusive educational materials.

Everyone sees the problem here, right?

Which book would YOU ban if you could make $10,000 a day?
