The first step to act against the climate crisis: gaining knowledge and spreading the word !

That’s why we like movie nights: combining a « Netflix and chill » evening with getting to know more about our planet 🌎

Here is our tips to you: organise movie nights about climate change with your family. We all know this person who says « climate crisis is not now, look this winter was super cold!». Give them a wool blanket and pop corn, put on the screen an interesting documentary and hop, easy way to spread the word! 💚

13/02/2023

🎬 Come and chill with us for a movie night to watch « Chasing Coral » by Jeff Orlowski.

The documentary shows why coral bleaching is a threat to marine ecosystems 🪸

The pop corn is included 🍿😍

✨✨(BOARD) MEMBERS FOR 2021/22 WANTED✨✨

This goes out to all the day-to-day heroes who believe that it is not too late to save the world. Facing the current climate crisis, it became clear that business as usual cannot continue. It is time for a change! Unfortunately, the crucial role which the Social Sciences play therein is often ignored, neglected, or forgotten altogether. Therefore, student associations like SSESA are a great way to raise awareness - not only amongst our own peers but also amongst other disciplines.

SSESA finds itself at a crossroads: most of our board members are finalising their studies and are off to new adventures. But the fight must go on, which is why we need YOU to continue our work and make it your own!

Are you interested in making this world a better place? Then you are the one we are looking for! There is no limit to your imagination – from lectures over pub quizzes to campaigns against single use items, anything is possible. If you are up for it, please contact us via Facebook, Instagram or Email💖

EARTH DAY 2020. This video plants trees. 22/04/2020

🌱 🌎 🎊 Happy Earth Day! 🎊 🌎 🌱

At the moment, many of us are stuck at home and it can be quite hard to imagine that things will be back to normal soon. But life on the outside does not stop and you can make a change from the comfort of your living room!

This Earth Day, SSESA asks you to take 1 minute (!) out of your day to watch this short clip from Treedoms Earth Day 2020 campaign to help plant trees!

Treedom was launched ten years ago and has since planted over 1 million trees through online participation. All trees are planted directly by local farmers and get tagged with their specific geolocation. This means that each tree can be 'followed' via their own web-page. Want to learn more? Check them out here: https://earthday.treedom.net/

EARTH DAY 2020. This video plants trees. We pledge to plant 1 tree for every 1,000 views. You watch, we plant. Share the video now and together, let’s green the planet. Find out more and redeem a tr...
