Growing up Diwali meant spring cleaning the house , getting new clothes , buying presents , receiving lots of gifts , making faral ( Diwali homemade goodies) ,meeting with friends and neighbours , light Diyas ( lamps), perform Laxmi Pujan ,colour Rangoli at the entrance of our house and enjoying the wonderful display of lights and fun. Nostalgic.

In line with International Men's day in Nov Rotary Caroline Springs would like to recognise our local Champions within our community on the 17 November. As such we are holding a dinner to show our appreciation to some of these organisations such as the Caroline Springs Fire Brigade (CFA), Caroline Springs RSL Sub Branch, Multicultural Association of Community Empowerment Inc. and the 1st Caroline Springs Scout Group. Everyone of these organisations and more are champions in their own right and do so much for our community. For men's and boys and for overall Mental health. The theme will be Healthy Men, Healthy world.

The fundraising dinner in line with the Australian Men's Health Forum calls together such organisations to showcase how they contribute to our community. Like having a walk around the lake, asking R U Ok, or having a Holloween party. Well done Scouts.

On the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami you will witness human pyramids in almost every suburb of Mumbai trying to break the pot filled with yogurt, cash and more . The group of boys and men are revered by onlookers when they brave in with all fun and games and make human pyramids .. growing up I watched these too .. their multiple attempts to stand strong and break the pot with a coconut amongst cheers , music drums and dance used to be fun to watch.. these days the pyramids are huge and the competition is fierce amongst different group of men..
Everyone enjoys the festivities with fun and galore, it is all about celebrating Lord Krishna’s birth on this auspicious day .

Sharing an overview on the Finance industry in Australia,Non Bank Lending & strategies we are adopting post covid.

A great night to be around community leaders and financial delegates from the Nepalese community.

It was lovely to meet the Consul General of Nepal Hon Chandra Yonjan and grateful to Hon Natalie Hutchins MP Minister for Corrections ,Youth Justice, Crime Prevention & Victim Support for her presence and insights as a Chief Guest for the closing dinner.

I am thrilled to be part of the story sharing journey of so many migrants today on The Conversation Hour as a co host with Richelle Hunt.
Each story is special each story is unique , Australia is a nation built by immigrants , the challenges that the migrants face is similar doesn’t matter which country you arrive from. The struggle is real.
Today the contribution that the migration community brings to the Australian economy is phenomenal. I applaud organisations who walk the talk by hiring newly arrived migrants and are more inclusive.
This topic is so close to my heart, having heard so many stories ,this podcast will give you insight into Masi’s life a Muslim Afghan refugee ( minority in all aspects) his struggle & the outlook he is presenting to the world and not being bitter about his journey. Helping people learn life skill & providing livelihood to his fellow boat mates.
An inspirational story hope it motivates people to judge less and be more open to acceptance.

I ordered some hampers from Rita , what a beautiful soul she is , she customised these hampers for an IWD event and they were just beautiful.

Secondly an amazing cafe in DFO essendon who catered for our IWD event run by our local girl from Signaturecafe
