๐ COMMUNITY CLUB ๐
There are days at school when it really hits you how special the children are that you work with. Today was one of those days, and I couldnโt be any prouder!
This morning, the children who attended our after-school Community Club travelled to Kilronan School to meet Mrs Ambroseโs class, who we have recently partnered with.
As part of our Community Club, Mrs Craig and Miss Dallas have been working with the children after-school to create โName Framesโ and gifts for the pupils at Kilronan.
The children have been learning about the importance of playing a positive role within the community and about the value in reaching out to others.
It has been really special to partner with Mrs Ambroseโs class at Kilronan School and the interaction between the children, the smiles on their faces, and the joy both sets of pupils had in sharing with others is something that will stay with me for a long time.
Our pupils have learned and seen that those children who have additional needs are โDifferent, Not Less, and how it is important that we treat everyone within our community with care and respect.
A very special and proud day for the pupils at Ballytrea Primary School ๐
Sure to be a big sale in the Tyrone Courier this week!
Good luck to all the staff from Tallonโs Mace Littlebridge as they climb Slieve Donard today!
If youโre able to help in anyway, your donations would be greatly appreciated!

We had great fun meeting some of our new Reception and Primary 1 pupils yesterday, and canโt wait for you to come join us in September! ๐
Swap your sums for fun!
No more homework until September!
Thanks Vinny! ๐ BBC Radio Ulster
We love seeing and hearing about what our pupils get up to outside of school, and the wonderful achievements and memories that they are making! ๐
This weekend was no different as we had pupils:
๐ฉฐ Starring in a ballet performance in Lisburn!
๐ Showing cows at the Armagh County Show!
๐ Meeting local Olympians at the Pro League Hockey in London!
๐๐ปโโ๏ธ Swimming at a gala event in Bangor.
What an amazing weekend some of our pupils have had!
In preparation for moving on to Secondary School, the primary 7 pupils joined with their friends from Donaghey Primary School and Walker PS to participate in the โLove for Lifeโ programme this morning.
๐ BARNABAS AWARD 2024 ๐
You may remember a post a number of months back whereby it was announced that an award had been gifted to us by the Logos School in Cyprus; the Barnabas Award.
Well, today we were delighted to welcome back into school Prof. Alan Woodside, trustee of the school in Cyprus, to present this special award to one of our pupils.
Barnabas, the Patron Saint of Cyprus, is remembered as an encourager. Someone who always put others before self.
As such, we are delighted to announce that our first recipient of this special award is Oliver Booth (P7). ๐
Oliver is a worthy winner and the announcement of his name came as no surprise to his peers.
A young man who is kind and mannerly; hardworking and helpful. A young man who encourages others and sets a wonderful example to the younger boys and girls at our school.
Oliver, we are extremely proud of you and the fine young man that you are!
A BIG congratulations from all your friends and staff at school! ๐๐ป
80th Anniversary of D-Day - Remembrance Lantern!
โLight of Peace!โ
We are fortunate at school to have been gifted one of 25 commemorative lanterns by Mid Ulster District Council, to mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings.
Over the last few days at school, the pupils have been listening and learning about the heroic events of D-Day in 1944.
๐๐๐ปโโ๏ธWE LOVE SPORTS DAY! ๐๐ผ๐
Thank you to all the parents, family and friends who came to support our pupils on their Sports Day this afternoon!
๐ Check out our website for more photos of todayโs event!
We were delighted to welcome David from Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland into school today, to speak with the children about Farm Safety! ๐๐
Being a rural school, with a high number of pupils living on or near farms, the messages and warnings shared were very important for our children to hear!
With farming playing such an important role in many of our childrenโs lives, itโs really important not to become complacent about the dangers that exist.
Thank you for visiting David!
Today marked the last week of our Good News Club!
The children have loved their Wednesday afternoons with Mrs Colvin and Miss Bleakley, and have really enjoyed learning more about the word of God together. ๐
