Full circle rainbow (halo) on 08 | Nov.2017 .It was seen at Pune .State Mahabharata. A large circle around the Sun or Moon is called a22 degree halo by scientists. It happens , when Avery thin clouds being so. high in the sky are made from crystals. These crystals. reflect and refract. light in such ways to cause a ring around the Sun. The diameter of. crystals is less than 20 • 5 micrometers. It is 22° halo fing of light 22° from Sun These clouds are thin clouds known as cirrus clouds with ice crystal. It was seen at Calcutta in the month April 30th 2016 at 12 Pm. The Video gives the information of such ring around the Sun . |

Deccan plateau region , there the nature has started to give hints to Indian ,mostly on Deccan region that , if human interference has extremely increased to that extent , the nature is getting angry ! In future , it may creat harerdaous conditions like past. ! Ex .-like Volcanic activities , ,eruption of Lava on the surface , earthquakes due to which the living life on this plateau will get buried under flow of lava ! It is the Subject matter of this artical ! BRIEF ACCOUNT OF DECCAN PLATEAU . The plateau is located in the central peninsular India , extending from ,12°N . to 21°N. latitude ., raising about 2000 feet above the M .S.L.. It is enclosed all sides by hilly regions. The Western Ghat named Sahyadri , extends from N W.Maharashtra ( Thane district) to extreme south of Malbar hills . It merges in to Nilgiri ,an uplifted mountain .There are certain gaps from which Konkan region got connected to interior of Indian regions by roadways and Rly. tracks .Ex .1-Thal Ghat 2-Bhor Ghat 3-palghat 4- Fonda Ghat etc. 2--This plateau is formed long back 60. to70 million years ago by the Volcanic eruption. It was a Fissure type ! The eruption happened time to time with the interval of 1000 s. of thousands of years . On Gondvana land a huge crack (fracture to the crust up to surface ) developed, through which the Basic type of lava got poured on the surface on this region As the lava was liquid in nature , got spread up over a long distance .( In S . E. direction ) Later on according to atmosphere it cooled and got converted in to a rock layer .The rock is known as Igneous type . Afterwards 1000 of years due to weathering effects the soil cover established Tknown as Recur er black cotton soil On this soil , forests , living life got formed . Afterwards again the volcanic eruption happened .Lava got poured and whole life came under lava flow .It got turned in to ash layer.Such incidents happened time to time with the interval of 1000 or 4000 times .Due to temperature of above lava layer the under laying igneous rock got changed in it's features .it became a metamorphic rock , very hard and dark black in colour .U can observe it while travelling through Kasara. ghat . , Mumbai to Agra highway .or Mumbai to Goa through Fonda Ghat etc.Basalt rock and igneous has covered most of the region.
Today ,large region is covered with Recur black colour in desh area. The crack from which erupted , a. huge wall in North to South. direction parallel to Arabian Sea coastal region is known as Western Ghat or mountain " Sahyadri ".It is some whatof higher elevation than. Eastern plateau , so called a mountain .The highest peak of this mountain is known with the name " Kalsubai "located in Nasik district .The Western slope of Sahyadri is steep , while Eastern side is gently sloping .( See the cross section given in diagram No .1 )Upper part of this range is flat and the past craters of volcano (small size)are now filled with Rainey water are the lakes ,known as. Crater lakes. Ex.:-Lake at Matheran peak , lake near Mahabaleshvar .(The area covered by Deccan is shown on the map of India , see the peninsula ).Konkan is a narrow coastal stripe at th foot of W. Ghat .The offshoot s of W.Ghat have entered through this strip.Some offshootsare submerged in water. body of Arebian sea. Some peaks of offshoots remained above the Sea level in the form of islands . on the few peaks the Forts are constructed by. past Kings Ex..:-Vijaydurg fort.etc. There are several creeks ,Bays ,back-bays on. the coastal zone withnatural bury .Rivers are more in number but they are short flowing , with high speed of water flow in Monsoon . While Eastern side , the rivers are crossing long distance and meet to Bay of Bengal .Ex.:-River Godavari , river Krishna and Kaveri .Becous of hilly and offshoots of W .Ghat. TTtTthese ricer basins are separate. Due to river and sub rivers +weathering action plateau is sub decided . These hills are of Pyramid shape. According to layaric development of past conditions. .( see the diagram No. 2 ) The main rivers took birth in same period , their erosion action started same time , on a same type of rock layer .Due to this the base leval of erosion of these rivers are in the equal levels .(see diagram No .:-1)Most of the rivers are of non -perinial. The total area has occupied by Deccan is_ 64,798 sq. .Km .This is a very brief account of Deccan trap .Now ,- -.THE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY. HOW IT IS DISTERBING THE ECOLOGY OF DECCAN AND THE BAD. EFFECTS WE CAN OBSERVE . 1:- -*The original structure of Deccan environment is getting hampered, the original natural conditions we are changing for the satisfaction of our needs today .The rapid ,nonstop development is going on with the advance , modern technology every where on Deccan . 2:- Ovrt rapid exploitation of forests is going on .(out of 100% 60%vegitation is getting removed and 15_% plants are grown in forest conservation methods .3;-_Development of infrastructure facilities are rapidly are rapidly increasing for the economic and trade activities in this zone , like construction of Roadways . Widening of national highways .For this purpose the near by big hilly areas which you feel they are the obstruction on widening you are removing. 4:- For such purpose explosives material are used . The explosions are made for breaking the large size rock masses .Fresh examples are there like *-Mumbai to Agra national highway.*- Mumbai --Amdabad national highway , *- Bhivadi to Vasai road via Kaman . Not only removal of hills but with that the forests cover which they were having it has also disappeared is the main mistake . Due to minimize traffic pressure on highways , other highways are got constructed .Ex*-Karjat and Kasara Ghat highways . 4*-Closer to mega cities and suberbs , because of rapid Urbanization demand for stones ,brick ,cement the demand is ever increasing . So quarrying activities are responsible to removal of hilly regions , soft soil of agriculture is getting utilized for bricks industries .Ex*- Along Bhivadi to Vasai road .So agricultural land is disappeared on high extend .5*-Number of Tunnels for railway and roadways are getting constructed without end .Konkan railway is the need . so many tunnels are constructed .At that time we remained unaware , while making explosion. So number of soft and hard rocks there the large size cracks developed inside the part of rocks and due to percolation , merging of water the land slides has become common problem. Same case is there on. Pune superfast road .6*-Number of bridges are getting constructed on the creeks in Konkan ,flyover bridges (roads) in cities and mega cities is going on .7*-Construction of Aerodromes is increasing in number .Because of these reasons vast agricultural land masses , forests are getting removed . Along National highways petrol pumps , hotels ,garages ,dhabas are occpaing certain agricultural land and removal of vegetatios. We are in progress is our feelings today.Number of multipurpose projects are constructed on major rivers . so agriculture , forests cover is disappeared . Underground crust is also disturbed . Whole topography has been changed . EFFECTS 1*- Monsoonal rain has become highly erratic .2 *-Earthquakes shocks are experienced time to time Ex* Later earthquake, same experience up to certain time Mumbai Thane region. **--Unknown sounds from underground s in Beed district . (sounds are related to under ground crust explosion ,or developing of Magama ,(lava), Breaking of crust rocks . Certain palaces the surface cracks are getting developed from which vapour it comes out . people they fear and wonder .All it gets neglected afterwards .Why the smoke came above ? All we neglect .Kokan region is suffering with submerging effect. .Large areas of coast is suffering from sea water .It,'s leval is is increasing and galloping the land.Ex*-In the month June or July 2017 ,it was shown on T .V.News , "A village on the coast of state Kerla , is galloped by Arabian sea. Now , we must remain aware about future condition ,Geologist have rightly mentioned " Nature tends to remain in the equilibria condition ,." Now Deccan trap we have brought to unequilibria condition from our activities .If such activities are still going on in future , then the past condition of earth quakes , Volcanic activities the nature may start again . Deccan Plateau The Deccan Plateau is a large plateau in southern India. It rises to 100 metres in the north, and to more than 1 kilometre in the south, forming a raised triangle within the downward-pointing triangle of the Indian subcontinent's coastline.
