I’ve never been more simultaneously thrilled and nervous to practice a tree pose (vrksasana) than on the edge of the Grand Canyon! I’m happy I had the great pleasure of checking off one of my bucket list items. It’s clear I’ve been bitten by the travel bug!

Where was the most memorable place you’ve been? Where would you like to go next? Let’s start making our dreams into reality. You only live once!!

Anyone else feeling the ?

Even if you’re not an avid fan of horoscopes and astrology, you’ve probably heard of Mercury retrograde — the planetary phenomenon we’ve all come to dread. Thought to affect communication and technology, it’s a time when everything can feel slightly out of whack. You may find yourself losing your keys, missing appointments, or your computer suddenly breaks down.

“Mercury retrograde is a great time to go back; go back and revisit old projects, old acquaintances and colleagues. As humans we like to forge ahead, but Mercury retrograde is the perfect opportunity to stop and reassess.”

That said, it doesn’t hurt to exercise some caution – like double-checking you have your keys and wallet when you leave the house, and ensuring all your work is backed up. Make sure you’re extra vigilant during Mercury retrograde, and it might not be as bad as you think.

Here’s a few suggestions for how to make the most of this planetary transit! These are things I try to make time for daily or weekly but now is a great time to honor your need for self-care and rejuvenation ✍️🌿📚🌻💪🏼💃🛀🎼

Letting go of the past can be painful, and sometimes the fear of the unknown can keep us stuck.

Here’s your reminder that are exactly where you need to be, right now.

The next steps may be the hardest, but you’ve come too far to give up now or go back to where you were before.

One step at a time, keep climbing! Set your sights on that goal and you will get there! ❤️

Word for today 🌟🌟🌟

Grace is always with us. It flows like a river through our lives, artfully reminding us that there is magic and power beyond what our eyes can see. At times we catch its subtle beauty, like during chance meetings, near misses, and insights that seem to come from nowhere. Other times we experience grace in all its powerful surety such as when a job or relationship comes to an end. Though we may forget that this is grace at work too, it is indeed influencing our lives, helping us to move forward and take the next step. Grace exists in all situations, in every moment, yet all too often we may overlook its presence.

Imagine how it would feel to live an entire day in grace, to fully appreciate that your day is unfolding in absolute perfection. Whereas usually you might miss the magic in ordinary events and interactions, on this day you would recognize them all as little miracles. Perhaps you could begin with your first deep breaths in the morning, becoming aware that there is an abundant supply of air for you to breathe. Your lungs know just how to carry oxygen to your blood, and your blood knows where to carry it from there. This is grace at work. You might appreciate the brilliant sunshine, the warm summertime rain, or the possibilities for learning that greet you at every turn. You might notice the ease with which you do your job or laugh with a close friend. These things are also grace. Even laying your head down at the end of this day and resting in the stillness of night is grace.

With each opportunity you give yourself to enjoy this current of benevolence, you may discover a deeper peace. Your faith may strengthen and your heart may open. You might begin to wonder if struggle is really all that necessary after all. By living this one day in grace, you might open the door to many more.

Many of you have inquired about my classes recently-
Thank you!!

I’m now teaching Core Flow (Levels 1/2) virtually on Sunday mornings from 10:30-11:30am. In this class, we’ll be focusing on lengthening the psoas muscle and opening the front body, as we strengthen the abdominal muscles through floor and standing postures.

On Tuesdays from 6-7:15pm, I’ll be teaching Flow and Restore (all levels) in-studio at Yoga Source, as well live-streaming for those who want to practice at home! In this class, we will work with vinyasa flow as a foundation for building strength and stability, as well as including a calming and restorative sequence to release the tension in the muscles and connective tissues of the hips and legs.

Links to class schedule and pricing below! Feel free to message me with questions. Looking forward to seeing some of your faces soon!

I’m so excited to share that my home base, Yoga Source, is reopening for in-person classes this week! I’ll be teaching Flow And Restore on Tuesdays from 6-7:15pm. This is my favorite class format and it’s suitable for all levels, although some prior experience is recommended. This class balances 45 minutes of mindful movement and 30 minutes of gentle/longer held floor stretches. We incorporate the use of props to help relax as well, after the movement portion. You will experience a nice blend of effort and ease. We will focus on spinal/core strengthening and overall range of motion to improve health and well being, while you clear your mind in a tranquil space. Check out the links below in comments for information on current class schedule and pricing. I look forward to seeing some of your smiling faces again soon! ❤️

Often we feel that by staying busy, we are more productive. I have found that slowing down, saying yes to rest, and doing less has decreased my stress levels immensely over the past few years, ultimately allowing me to accomplish more of my goals! I invite you to join me in the coming weeks for more rest and restoration, including my new weekly Wednesday Wind-down yoga series. Stay tuned for event details!

Would any of my friends be interested in a 3pm weekday online gentle/beginner friendly yoga class? I’m thinking of expanding my offerings and would love input!
