Hey FBC family!! We have an update on Trunk or Treat!!! So unfortunately we don’t have volunteers in the youth group due to scheduling and safety. Our kids are driving and have jobs, and some are taking every precaution to keep themselves and their families safe during COVID, so we will not be present this year.

BUT

We do have a lot of candy thanks to our amazing church family who always comes through in the biggest ways possible! So we want to give you the option, if you would like your candy donated to another trunk or business who will be present like Avalanche bay, we would be happy to see to it that it gets there, or if you would like to give it out to potential trick or treaters Saturday, feel free to come by and pick it up! In either case please let me or pastor Glen know, this evening or tomorrow so we can make arrangements. Sorry for the last minute change and thank you for your patience and donations!! God bless!!

Text Pastor Glen at 940-372-0215 or reply to this post!!

Tomorrow is a big day!! We are back in person for the first time in 7 months!!! We ask that your teen bring a mask, we will have some snacks and games followed by a lesson. Please arrange rides too and from. This week we will meet 5pm-7pm and then the following weeks we will likely make it 4pm-6pm. We are excited to see you all again!!

29/09/2020

We have one more live before we go back to in person youth group! Tune in and have some fun with a few old friends!! And fret not, we will be live streaming our normal youth services starting again in a couple of weeks, so if you can't make it you can still see what we are up to!!

22/09/2020

If you will be on campus Tomorrow @7:30am join your fellow students in celebrating the privilege of prayer! A lot of things may be up in the air but God is still unchanging.

“God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?” -Numbers 23:19

I know this is long, but please read through to the end.

HELLO EVERYONE!! I wanted to put out an update for Wednesday night youth group, with enough time for you to ask questions and for me to make changes as needed.

Currently, our plan is to go back to an in-person Wednesday night youth service, the first week in October, I have worked closely with Pastor Glen's guidance and we believe this is the best way to do things for the time being.

While weather permits, we will meet outside the ROC from 5pm-7pm, we will have some games and then our usual lesson and be done NO LATER THAN 7PM, so you may get texts from your kids as early as 6:30pm if we finish early.

We are asking that you provide a ride for your teen to and from the service, either with you or one of their friends, if possible because under current regulations we only feel comfortable with 10 people in the van including myself. We will try to have a few adult volunteers on standby in case we have the need.

We ask that your child bring a mask, we will also have some available. We will be playing games and this is our best option. We will also have hand sanitizer available.

Lastly, we ask for your flexibility and grace. This is a tough time and we are all having to adapt. These regulations are in no way meant to make your child have a bad time, but as an organization it is the responsibility of FBC Valley View to keep your children safe and healthy. This situation has not gone away and so at the moment this is our best option to get back to fellowship in person. I love Jesus with all of my heart and want to share the Gospel with our youth, but I also want them and you to stay well.

We completely understand if you do not feel comfortable send your child at the moment, and I will do my best to keep everyone updated as this is very tentative and will depend on things like the weather, number of students, and current cases in our county, to help us determine our course forward.

Thanks for sticking around til the end and please like our page and share this post to get the word out to parents of youth in our community! Please contact me if you have questions or concerns, i am happy to address them!! God Bless!
