Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Richardson: See toxic behavior? Intervene, stop, report
One thing that the Red Lions take great pride in is our commitment to respecting one another and building a culture of inclusion. Without that, we cannot have the teamwork required to meet our operational missions and fully serve our nation.
The misconduct of the participants in this recent unethical behavior do not represent the millions of Americans that proudly serve in uniform. But, we have the obligation to do our part to eliminate this type of offensive conduct from our culture. Please see the CNO's message below:

Red Lions Past and Present,
The World Famous Red Lions of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron FIFTEEN (HSC-15) will deactivate on 31 March, 2017. The squadron will host a deactivation ceremony for all current and former Red Lion Sailors and families on Friday, 10 March, 2017 at 1100 in Hangar 370, NAS North Island, San Diego. If you would like to attend, please RSVP with the squadron Public Affairs Officer at [email protected] or (619) 767-7007.
The squadron is being deactivated, not disestablished, which allows the squadron to re-activate in the future when global force requirements dictate. The remaining Red Lion Sailors have been detailed to complete their tours at other units, most staying in-rate at other HSC or HSM squadrons at North Island, and all 8 MH-60S and support equipment will be recapitalized within the HSC Wing.
Sincerely,
CDR Jim "J-Stew" Stewart
Commanding Officer

This week we had the pleasure of recognizing the hard work of our sailors in award quarters. As we head into the holidays it is a great time to reflect on all that we have accomplished and the great tradition we have continued as HSC-15 Red Lions through your commitment to the squadron.
Happy Halloween from the Red Lions!
Red Lion Families,
I would like to personally invite all Red Lion Family and Friends to this year's 3rd Annual Halloween Party and Trunk or Treat. The First Class Petty Officer's Association will be hosting another great family friendly event that will surely wear your kids out! The event will take place on Saturday, October 29th from 1100-1400. Events are going to include a bounce house, face painting, and arts & crafts (just to name a few). MWR will also be hosting a haunted tour of our decorated shop spaces. The party will start in the HSC-14 hangar space and then proceed into the parking lot for trick or treating with all the decorated trunks. Again, this is going to be a great family event and I highly encourage everyone to attend.
Sincerely,
Jim Stewart

Congratulations to the Navy's newest YN3! Everyone has noticed your high quality work and your continued dedication. You truly earned your meritorious promotion.
Today the Red Lions took a pause to look at the next major safety issues that we anticipate. We will be looking at all the feedback we recieved today, and seeking to implement it into our day to day routines.
"Fifteen years later, we pay tribute to the loss of nearly 3,000 lives, reflect on treasured memories of those we lost, and resolve to never forget that day, even as we look toward a brighter and more hopeful future. We draw inspiration from the survivors who still bear the scars -- both seen and unseen -- of that tragic day. We honor the valiance of our Nation's first responders, whose instinct was not to turn back to find safety for themselves, but to run toward untold danger. We show our gratitude to those young Americans of the 9/11 Generation, who until that day lived knowing only peace, but who have answered our country's call to serve under our flag to meet the threats of our time with bravery and distinction." - President Barack Obama
