Woodroffe Ave PS
This page is intended to keep families up to date on the wonderful world of Woodroffe Ave. P.S.
Happy Wednesday! What staff do to get to work and save gas money. :)
All OCDSB schools and programs closed tomorrow.
Today we set an intention to take action that Woodroffe, on this land of the Algonquin people, will be a school that demonstrates the many ways that Every Child Matters and every child will thrive as a Woodroffe student.
Bus E128 is cancelled for today Friday 17 Sept. This is due to driver shortages and is for both am and pm routes.
The OCDSB will honour the lives of the 215 children whose bodies were found in a mass grave at a residential school in Kamloops, B.C.
Effective Monday, May 31 to June 8, the flags will be lowered on all OCDSB schools and buildings. They will remain lowered for 215 hours in respect for each child who did not return home.
We commit to remember and ensure the sad legacy of Canada’s residential schools is not forgotten.

Sending love out this weekend! Stay safe! ❤️
Replanted seedlings today as they were all very “leggy”. Followed YouTube video... I am online learning too! Happy Saturday!
Here are my family’s photos of the day from the week. We’d love to see all of yours! :)
I will try my best to write a suggestion a day. We are still trying to set up IXL and it will come but I thought of some other fun things too. All care homes in our community are closing their doors to visitors but our students could draw pictures, write stories or poems and just drop them at the door. We have a lot of elderly members of our community that would love a picture or gesture like this.
