👥️Hougang Utd Thank the Fans In a Fun-filled Event! 🐆
There were lots of laughs and bantering but not at the expense of fierce competition — t'was similar to a competition among siblings. Here are some funny eventful things that happened.
-Jordan Vestering as goalkeeper
-Zaiful as outfielder
-Faris carrying Hazzuwan to head from a corner kick
-Riyadh surprised everyone with his almost-farpost corner kicks
-Players and fans telling the coaches to "play it simple"
-The GM & coach Robert nutmegging the fans constantly to the cheers of the "crowd"
-The ladies, like Sydney, Joey, Nabilah nutmegging the fans
-The fans trying to nutmeg back
-Coach Marko's volley
-The ladies were encouraged to tackle Riyadh
-Coach Starr's spectacular sliding tap-in (and an equally impressive save)
-Hazzuwan being the referee for the women's and staff matches

The Hougang boys will take part in the Sabah Maju Jaya Cup (SMJ cup 2024) a 4-side tournament in Sabah as a pre-season tune up to the SPL season.
The tournament will feature Malaysia Super League sides Sabah FC, Kuching City FC and KL City FC. Tournament prize money amount up to RM33,000!
The Hougang United Football Club (HGFC) boys will be leaving for Sabah this weekend.

Our Story
WHO WE ARE
We are an independent group of Hougang United supporters - affectionately known as the Hougang HOOLs (Hougang Only One Love) - and was founded on the 1st January 2011, just as our football club underwent a change of name (from Sengkang-Punggol Football Club to the present Hougang United Football Club).
The supporters' group was informally established on 24th July 2010, when a small group of English football fans first brought the English football-stadium atmosphere to our very own local football scene. In short, we are fans who appreciate the English football style of singing and chanting for 90 minutes for our Hougang United heroes!
THE CLUB HISTORY
Hougang United football club was founded as "Marine Castle United Football Club" - one of the predecessors of the current Hougang United - which is formed by Newcastle United fans in the Marine Parade area. Upon successful entry into the S-League in 1998, the club struggled in its early foray in the first few years, managing to finish in the bottom two for the next four S-League seasons.
Thereafter, Marine Castle changed its name to "Sengkang Marine Football Club" in 2002, breathing new life into the club as it finished in 8th position consecutively in the S-League, its highest ever finish in its short history.
Financial difficulties then forced Sengkang Marine F.C. out of the S-League in 2004, and "Paya Lebar-Punggol Football Club" took its place in the S-League in 2005, finishing the season as wooden-spoonist. The two clubs then merged their resources for the 2006 season onwards, to form "Sengkang Punggol Football Club" until the 2010 season, finishing no higher than 10th in the S-League.
On the 1st January 2011, the chairman of what was then Sengkang Punggol Football Club, Mr. Bill Ng, announced the changes that began the rewriting of another chapter of this promising football club. With improved financial status and a change of name to the present "Hougang United Football Club", there is renewed optimism among the fiercely loyal Hougang fan base around the club's home stadium since its inception, Hougang Stadium.
As the chairman puts it: "This name change affirms an inherent commitment from our part to continue to improve our standards as a football club. It represents the dawn of a new era for SPFC; to forgive and forget past sagas, and to embrace the future of constant changes which I believe the S-League likewise needs to undergo too."
UNITED FOR HOUGANG UNITED
On 24th July 2010, a group of hardcore Manchester United fans made the decision to turn up physically and support the Sengkang Punggol team, ably coached by Aide Iskandar. As per English football tradition, these 5 fans decided to use their raw voices to shout, chant and sing throughout the 90 minutes for the players on the field, willing them on despite a long 13-match winless streak. Winless turned into a most precious win when first, Fadhil Salim saved a penalty and then Mamadou Diallo scored an unlikely winner 3 minutes from the end to secure a very significant win over Beijing Guo'an.
The win kickstarted the climb out of the bottom of the league, and by the end of the season, the growing number of fans have vocally partnered with the club to inspire it to secure more than half the points tally in the final third of the season. This has helped to forge a partnership between the club and fans, and encouraged one and all that we as fans do matter to the players and the Hougang United.
TODAY AND OUR FUTURE
Today, the Hougang HOOLs gather at the top of Hougang Stadium's Gate 3 on home matches, and continue our tradition of unwavering vocal support for our Hougang heroes.
We continue to be an independent group of supporters who do what we know best for our Hougang United, our players and the Singapore Premier League. We are though grateful for the club management's acknowledgement of our affection for our Hougang United Football Club, and its partnership with the HOOLs in our continuing contribution to the club.
We continue to forge meaningful friendships between supporters of other SPL rival clubs, as per our founding principle, for the greater good of support for our Singapore football.
And most importantly, we shall always stand by the Hougang United and our fellow Hougang HOOLs. Because,
"Once we go black, we won't turn back!"
