Marina Ahmad AM
London Assembly Member for Lambeth and Southwark
One of the joys of being an Assembly Member is visiting community groups in my constituency and seeing the amazing work they do.
At the Wyndham & Comber TRA in Camberwell, I rolled up my sleeves (literally) and helped out.
I also fell in love with Boss, the puppy. I want one!
Annual grocery bills have risen by £643 due to grocery inflation hitting a record 14%. Prior to this increase, 44% of adults reported spending less on essentials including food. Without support Londoners will have even less food on the table.

Hate Crime Awareness week starts today. It gives us the chance to reflect on our own actions, and how we can all play a part in eradicating hate crime from our city. We need to call out hate and educate others.
I'm proud to be endorsed by the GMB for the Camberwell and Peckham selection.
If selected, with my political experience and community activism, I’ll continue working with the GMB in securing a better future for workers in places like Camberwell and Peckham.
Proud to speak in at the
Unite the union rally against the proposed London Tory bus cuts.
Southwark will shoulder 25% of all the London cuts if the proposed ones go through.
There are few transport options available here and buses are a lifeline.
I'm delighted to announce that I'm seeking selection as the Labour Party candidate for Camberwell and Peckham, which I proudly represent as the London Assembly Member.
It's now time to take my work to Parliament. Watch this to find out why ⬇️
