Visited a couple of days back to lighten my pimple scars and improve my complexion with their “Radiance Laser”. Tbh, I was quite nervous as I have done IPLs before and it hurts, what more on my face right LOL. But surprisingly, the pain was bare minimal and no numbing cream was used. Wrinkles Removal

Each and every one of us will face the problem of wrinkles at some point of other.
You may be 35 and found your first wrinkle staring right back at you in the mirror. You may be 55 and watching helplessly as the skin ages over the years, revealing your true age. Wrinkles and fine lines are an inevitable part of normal ageing, and can be a significant aesthetic concern, especially for women.

Premature wrinkling can be avoided by adopting a healthy lifestyle and taking good care of the skin. Wrinkles due to natural ageing and genetics are unavoidable, but with today’s medical technology, their appearances can be much improved. Mild cases of wrinkles may respond to over-the-counter serums and creams, but deeper wrinkles often require a visit to the doctor.

PREVENTION of premature wrinkles is THE MOST effective wrinkle treatment. (as most say, prevention is better than cure)

Botulinum toxin A (or more commonly known by the brand name of Botox) is most often the first treatment for wrinkles. It works by relaxing the facial muscles just underneath the wrinkle. As a result the lines do not show even though our expressions do.

But of course what do not want is a frozen look.

The frozen faces of certain Hollywood celebrities may have given botulinum toxin a bad reputation. However, with precise placement and moderated doses of this remarkably safe toxin, natural-looking and more youthful faces without those bothersome wrinkles are restored.

Wrinkles that have been etched into the skin, and are present even without any facial muscle movements, are known as static wrinkles. While botulinum toxin works well for dynamic wrinkles (those that appear when facial muscles are activated), static wrinkles often require further treatments besides botulinum toxin. Fillers composed of hyaluronic acid are an excellent choice for filling in those remnant lines, reducing their appearance further. Laser resurfacing is also another option, especially for those with more extensive lines. Precisely controlled laser energy is deposited on the skin surface, causing a slight skin ‘wounding’. This wakes up the skin, kick-starting a natural healing process in the skin, with resultant new collagen formation. The effect is revelation of new skin, that is smoother and more wrinkle-free. For those with extremely severe wrinkling, which is often accompanied by severe sagging, a face-lift surgery may be necessary. By removing excess fat and skin, and by tightening the deeper layers of soft tissue, the appearance of the skin is improved.

The general approach of wrinkle treatment has been that of fixing it after the wrinkles have developed. Unfortunately, once a wrinkle has been formed in the skin, the fold is permanent. The only effective treatment for these so-called static wrinkles then, is to soften them with dermal fillers, akin to crushing a piece of paper and attempting to smoothen out the creases later on. This is termed “REJUVENATION”.

Rather than going backward and attempting to fix it, a better approach would be to delay the development of these permanent lines. This is termed “PREJUVENATION”�, preventing the paper from being crushed in the first place.

Some people are thrown off trying botox at an earlier age, or at all, for fear of looking fake or “cosmetically made”�. Botox today is vastly different from botox in the early days, when it was fashionable to look clearly botoxed.
