Hi, I'm Ben, a photographer in South Yorkshire, England.
A few photos from a recent day in London.
Squirrel!
Treeeeeeees! From above around Ladybower Reserviour.
Caught the fog looking out from Surprise View in the Peak District
Tried something a little different with this shot, something more stylistic.
This one feels a little bit like it's from the age of the Dinosaurs to me!
The Surprise View Trees
Lovely light tonight ☀️
Comet Neowise over the Peak District. Works well for a phone wallpaper this one. Some excellent dark skies over the Peaks, well worth the trip out to capture this from a truly dark spot.
A couple of photos I took of Comet Neowise. If you get clear skies, look north around 11:30pm onwards. It's faint, but you can see it with the naked eye.
Caught one of the Spitfires that flew over Rotherham hospital just now 🛩
Breedon Hope Cement Works, a very recognisable feature of the Peak District (You might have even seen it on a Channel 4 ident).
Looking over the reservoir from Bamford Edge.
Ashopton Viaduct looking lovely in the golden evening light.
When you're relaxing between shots the perfect thing to do is selfie!
A zoomed in view behind Ladybower reservoir.
Another one I took from my Fathers Day walk up Bamford Edge, before you get to the reservoir view.
I took a fathers day visit to Bamford Edge, first time up here, it's quickly become my favourite view.
Popped over to Damflask Reservoir but annoyingly the low clouds rolled in. Looks like a great spot for the future though.
Another from todays foggy visit to Ladybower Reservoir. I think this one was my favourite shot.
A foggy day but it's lifting nicely down at Ladybower in the Peak District. The sun even came out! ☀️
Popped over to the Surprise again in hopes of a repeat of yesterday, but no such luck. Still a lovely view though!
I finally got around to taking some photos at 'The Surprise' - such a good view - I definitely need to go back here.
Sherwood Pines is looking very healthy and green today, especially in this sun we're having ☀️🌲
It's been a panorama kind of day. Loving these sunsets lately. ☀️
A fantastically clear view from Higger Tor in the Peak District today. Lovely bank holiday clear skies.
Mablethorpe, looking all tranquil.
This is a panorama covering most of Rotherham in one go, taken at sunset (by drone from the south of the town). The unusual shadow in the field is due to the way the land dips, it's not very flat around these parts!
A quirky shot from one of our recent great sunsets - these photos are called 'Tiny Planets'. I love working with 360 cameras when I can, they always provide a unique perspective!
Took a trip to Sherwood Pines today when the fog rolled in. I adore foggy weather so was in my element. This one came out spooky so I went with it!
"With the tears a Land hath shed / Their graves should ever be green." — George Canning, The Pilot that weathered the Storm
Another of Ladybower's plug holes from Friday evening. This one came out a bit more foreboding I think.
Ladybower's plugs are flowing nicely tonight, I love listening to that roar.
