The Traveler:
"A damaged familiar, carrying his master's ashes in spherical urns, riddled and glowing with magical instability. They say a familiar without a witch or wizard is simply...lost."

This painting was too big to fit as a whole..damn you IG. But nevertheless, happy to get back into things after a fieldwork hiatus! The animal that inspired this character is the Laughing Falcon. Done in

"Painted" . Acrylic on acid free paper.
Wanted to paint the African painted dog in a way that highlights the name 🎨 In light of recent events globally, I encourage you all to remember to be kind to yourself and your minds. There is strength in kindness and courage in standing for what you believe in. ✊
Happy to be an art ambassador on this project that merges art and conservation! 👩🎨
Happy Independence day Guyana 🇬🇾 ! I hope all my fellow Guyanese artists jump on board!

Not sure which I like more: blending paint or not blending paint.

"At first it was small...a tiny bump on his neck that I concluded was an insect bite. He was still my Onyx...still the only guy in my life. Then the bump got bigger...it grew eyes, ears and a protruding nose. He use to make me so happy, made me feel like I mattered so much to him. Then it bit me while he slept...I knew at that moment I had to put Onyx down, I had to let him go...but I couldn't. He was and still is, the only exception to my heartless world. ..But its time to let him go."

" it would appear that specimen 1a3.6 has not responded well to treatment. He proceeds to bury infected fruit as he always did... It is almost as if he WANTS to infect the others. God help us all if he is to escape... Again."......

Monster theme #1: Red rumped Agouti + radiation ☢️
"Hideaway"... An acrylic on cotton canvas (16x20 in) piece.
"Solitude... The state of being alone, but to be alone doesn't mean you are lonely."
From concept to final piece, I thoroughly enjoyed painting this pensive gal. The entire process took longer that I'd liked, but I wouldn't change anything about it.
Exciting news: I'll be submitting this painting to an Art exhibition scheduled to take place in September @ Castellani House! This painting will be part of the family of paintings that are gonna be on display for Amerindian Heritage Month in Guyana! For purchase details, you can email me (email in bio). 🐒🎨
"hideaway" 🐒🌳... About 90% done with this gal. I was pleasantly surprised at how well I work once I have a painting all planned out instead of "winging it". This time around I can actually see an end goal and that excites me!
An acrylic study of the yellow banded poison dart frog. Also known as the bumblebee poison dart frog. ( Dendrobates leucomelas)
These guys, found in the rainforest of Guyana, are one of the many species of poison frogs that ward off predators by their signature skin colors and patterns.
"Less sweets this year big guy" 🍯
Happy 2019 to you all!

Red brocket deer studies on a rainy Friday day...
Since finals are coming to a creeping close for the Christmas semester, I thought I'd share with you all, selections from my Portfolio done for my art elective. ..
This past semester I did Drawing 1 (principles of drawing) as my elective and holy smoke turkey did I enjoy the class!
It made me connect with my art on an entirely new level and had me interact with persons that think like I do, artistically. (It was also the most chill class I've ever attended).
Art has and always will be an escape for me. It allowed me to express what I couldn't say and I dive into a part of my mind that constantly exploded in technicolor..especially when all other parts were grey and full of gloom.
It's been a savior in more ways than one and I'm thankful every day that I can share that with you all.
Merry Christmas. 🎄
Hi there, the race is on to finish my art portfolio for my elective which is due for grading on Tuesday.
The ultimate question must be asked: "Is this where I stop to take a shower?"
