The Raygun Girls

The evening's rain and snow melt has caused yet another flood. The sump pumps are keeping up with most of the water, but there is still some seeping into the basement. Not enough to cause a problem yet.

The water is already flowing over the road in front of our house. Last year we advised the Highway Department of this issue, and got no response. This year I contacted them again, and today I will be sending a pic of the road. A culvert along the road would help immensely.

And we're expecting another storm on Friday evening. I'm getting tired of this.

As we have been straightening up the basement, we've done it with possible flooding in mind- as much as possible is raised or upstairs... well, looks like we might get a chance to see how well we did tonight.

We received about 8 inches of snow, and the temperature is expected to rise to almost 50 overnight along with about 2 inches of rain.

We are getting some great help from a local group - Our Community Cares, and are currently waiting for our insurance inspector to come out and look at our roof.

Looks like the over 1 foot of water did not do our washing machine any good. We need to buy a new one. This was an unforeseen expense.
We've ordered a blow up mattress for one of the kids to use until we can move them back downstairs, which probably won't be until the spring at some point, we hope.

Due to the holiday season, the Mold test results are taking longer than expected to receive. We hope to get the results by the end of this week.
