Veterans Day is a time for reflection and thanking for those have served our country.

We would not be here today without the service of those brave men and women in uniform.

Our country owes them a debt of gratitude for everything that have done to protect our freedom.

To all the veterans out there, thank you!

We cannot afford the current partisan reactionary spending and interest rate hikes as they further damage trust in our system and overwhelmingly affect small businesses and hard-working Americans

This past Saturday, our community was rocked by the senseless violence that played out in the streets of Ybor City. Parents, children, and other law-abiding members of our community bear witness to the violence that has overtaken many of our streets and neighborhoods.

My heart goes out to the families who have lost loved ones. My prayers go out to all who were injured in this senseless shooting.

We cannot continue to ignore the problem of violent crime and in particular crimes committed by those who have little regard for human life.

We need to get smarter, tougher, and provide options for our young people, other than a life of crime.

Our communities cannot tolerate the inaction of our elected officials anymore, we need change and we need it now.
