Our TSPPA president, Jillian Fralick with SnugZ USA attended Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) Women's Leadership Conference this week in Nashville and shared her experience.

"WLC was an awesome experience! I went there only knowing a handful of women to meeting and connecting with so many high-profile women in the industry! What an amazing opportunity and fun filled event. I was so honored to be in the room with some of these knowledgeable and incredibly smart executives and C-Suites.

A large percentage of the women at this event were highly involved in their local regionals which warmed my heart!

There were so many introductions and panels! They all did a wonderful job. They also had terrific inspirational/motivational speakers throughout the event I will list below!

Mila Grigg – CEO at MODA Image and Brand Consulting
Leslie Short – Owner of the Cavu Group
Sarah Unruh – National Sales Manager for STAHLS

The week was all about “community’ and making the connections. There were over 200 women to make connections with and I feel like I encountered over half of them at least! I had about 20 requests on LinkedIn on the plane ride home and they continue to roll in each day!

One of the best lessons I learned from this event was we as women need to not only lift up the other women around us, but also lift ourselves up! Look in the mirror in the morning and give yourself a high five as Sarah Unruh would say!

If you ever get the chance to go to this event in the future, I highly suggest and recommend getting involved with this event for next year and years to come.

She joined industry leaders on Capitol Hill as part of PPAI's Legislative Education and Action Day (L.E.A.D.) to inform legislators and their staffs about the size and importance of the industry.

L.E.A.D’s first objective, as always, is to inform senators and representatives about the size and importance of the promo industry, which represents a $26 billion sales market in the United States and employs roughly half a million Americans. Of the industry’s 38,000 companies in the U.S., some 98% are considered small businesses.
